Thanks to Martha

I needed some thank you cards for myself, and years ago I never really minded mass producing, but to be honest, I really don’t like it very much any more!!! So my thank you’s had to be super simple and fast — LOL — what’s new!!! So, this is what I came up with.

These beautifully colored cards with the shaped edges are Martha Stewart and they were a gift from a neighbor — thank you, Helen!!! There was 8 in the pack, so I figured I’d make them all up at once. Then the matching ribbon, also Martha Stewart, was one of many gifts in my SCS Elf package from Sue — thank you, Sue!!! You have no idea how delighted I was to see this ribbon, knowing I had the cards and envies to match!!!! The cards are fairly large, measuring 5 x 7.

Anyway, these are quick and simple cards using the Cuttlebug anda rectangle Nestabilities Die by Spellbinders to both cut and emboss. The white panel was first run through the Cuttlebug with the small folder to emboss the design, then run back through with the rectangle die to cut it, then run through again to emboss the edges of the white panel. Oh, the modern conveniences — how fun!!! The chocolate panel is, of course, embossed with the large Textile folder in the Cuttlebug, and it is matted in Really Rust.

I did 2 versions of this card, 4 of each, oriented vertically and oriented horizontally. I like them both equally well. These are really simple cards that I think are rather self-explanatory.

  • Stamps: All Year Cheer I – retired SU
  • Paper: Premade cards and envelopes by Martha Stewart, called Flourish Stationery. SU Chocolate Chip, Really Rust and Whisper White.
  • Ink: Timber Brown Stazon.
  • Accessories: Martha Stewart Seam Binding, Ticket Corner Punch, Vintage Brads, Crafter’s Tool Kit, Cuttlebug and Embossing Folders, Rectangle Nestabilities Dies by Spellbinders.

That’s it for tonight — I guess it IS the new year now!!! Hope you are all having a happy one and being safe!!! God Bless!!! Thanks for checking in — I truly appreciate it!!!

You’re doing the most beautiful things with your Cuttlebug! These colors are delicious! I’ve never been a fan of mass production. A person just gets too many projects going on to spend all that time on one thing. You still do it so well, though!
