Love Set
This is a little set I made using the newest release by Flourishes, Lace Heart. But I didn’t use my beloved heart on this project, only the two sentiments in the set. What a romantic set, huh? The sentiment on the card says: How do I love thee — Let me count the ways. Love the beautiful font here, too!!!
This is a purchased paper mache box that I first painted in an ivory acrylic (just in case anything would peek through), then covered with this GORGEOUS paper — Florence Glitter Paper by K and Co.from Michaels. I used Mod Podge to make the paper stick. I covered the box base and lid. I ran Red Sticky Tape around the lid edge and adhered ribbon to it, tied onone side. The top is decorated with a stick pin and pearls from SU’s Pretties Kit and I made the tag using round punches — the Love is gold embossed. I then made another organdy little bow and attched it to the lid, along with the pin and sentiment tag, runninga thinner ribbon through the tag hole.See how that thinner piece of organdy is kind of swirly — I love that look!!! I just take it in my fingers, twist it as much as I want and adhere it with a Mini Glue Dot in an inconspicuous place and it stays just fine. I use Mini Glue Dots for everything — love those little things!!! They are also used to adhere the half pearls. Work wonderfully for that! The lid lifts off this box very easily since the ribbon on the side is attached securely to the lid.
This is a simple card to make. The entire front is covered with the DP. A simple sentiment panel is embossed in gold, 3 pearls are attached on the bottom, and ribbon is tied around the top. I added a few little satin flowers here as well. Again, Mini Glue Dots are holding my ribbon tails securely in place, though you wouldn’t know it.
- Stamps: Lace Heart by Flourishes
- Paper: Very Vanilla, Brushed Gold Metallic. Florence Glitter Paper by K & Co.
- Ink: Versa Mark.
- Accessories: Gold Detail Embossing Powder, Various Organdy Ribbons (gold and ivory), Satin Flowers, SU’s Pretties Kit, Eyelet, Cropadile, Mini Glue Dots, Pop Dot, Red Sticky Strip, Paper Mache Heart Box, Cream Acyrlic Paint, Mod Podge, 1 3/8 and 1 1/2″ punches.
I just LOVE making this type of thing — these fancy, swirly, elegant little pretties are just what I so love!!! I’m so gateful for all the gorgeous *flourishy* sets that Flourishes has come out with — they sure filled a void in my stamping cabinet and give me my much needed *fancy fix*!!!
I’ll be back tomorrow with more SU samples — thanks so much for stopping in — I truly appreciate it!!!

Simply beautiful! {SMILES}
What more can I say about your work, all the adjectives have been used to discribe what you design. I can see I don’t have enough “fancy” in my life…LOL I love to see the use of more and more “scrapbook” papers used. I will have to quite hording the piles and piles of 12×12 paper I have. I keep thinking I will get back at scraping.
These are so elegant and just beautiful Sharon!
