Oldies But Goodies
Hi, everyone! I have nothing new to show you again, but I had an idea. I have a gallery full of projects over at SCS that have never been posted on my Blog. I thought maybe it would be OK ifon occasion I could pull a favorite project from my SCS gallery and share it with you here. Now, if you are one to frequent SCS, this may be old hat to you, and if so, I’m sorry, but I’m just assuming there may be many of you who have never seen this one. I’ve created a category for my Oldies But Goodies, and plan to add these Oldies from time to time. Here’s the one I chose for today:
This card uses a favorite set of mine, Baroque Motifs, and this is a sympathy card; however, any sentiment could be used for any number of occasions. I used a favorite sentiment of mine from All I Have Seen. The sentiment is done with Marvy punches and is up on pop dots, with a rhinestone brad on top. The card is my favorite size, 5 1/2″ square. The stamped panel, framed in Soft Sky, is raised up on mounting tape. I love to do that on special cards. It lends such — gee, I don’t know what — an air of importance, or grace. I think it just adds so much. The Groovy Guava strip is stamped in the same ink and highlighted with a Signo White Gel pen. The edges of the large panel are softly sponged in Soft Sky. And I doubled up on my ribbon here — I love doing that — again, I think double ribbon just adds to the *specialness* of the card. And, quite frankly, sometimes neither color is just quite right, but when you double them up and use both, it works!!!
- Stamps: Baroque Motifs, All I Have Seen (retired)
- Paper: Groovy Guava, Soft Sky, Whisper White
- Ink: Black Stazon, Groovy Guava, Soft Sky, Creamy Caramel, Signo White Gel Pen
- Accessories: Marvy Punches, Rhinestone Brad, Ribbon, Mounting Tape, Pop Dots, Sponge
Hope you didn’t mind seeing an Oldie today!!! Thanks much for stopping in. I’m excited about my first workshop with the new catalog tomorrow!!! Talk to you later!!!

Gorgeous card, Sharon! I love the colors, papers, and beautiful ribbon!
I think it’s a great idea to pull some favorites from your gallery. Time doesn’t allow me to browse the galleries like I’d really like, so this is excellent!
I hope your WS goes well! 😉
Sharon this is beautiful! I love this color combination and it is so elegant.
So lovely. The colors and elegance radiate. No matter whether it’s an oldie or not, still so beautiful to look at again and again.
Sharon ~ Just gorgeous! It all matches so very perfectly…but of course, look who is doing the work!! I want to thank you for your Congrats day before. What a treat to get a comment from one of my top favorites!!
Rubber Hugs 🙂
Mind seeing an oldie??? Never!! Your cards are always “candy to my eyes”! Have fun doing your workshop with your new catalog! Happy stamping!
I hadn’t seen that one before, Sharon. It’s gorgeous. I did see a similar one you did as a wedding card, I believe. I CASEd it! I love the colors on this — GG and SS look so pretty together.
Beautiful card! I hadn’t seen it before and even if I had….so what? I look at your cards over and over all the time….they are gorgeous and you give everyone such GREAT inspiration!
1. How do you get the double ribbon in an envelope.
2. Dose it take special postage
3. Do you make your own envelopes
Simply. Stunning! You never cease to amaze me, Sharon; this is outstanding!

Good morning Sharon,
Once again, that is a beautiful card!! I don’t have a problem veiwing a card that has already been posted on Splitcoast.
I miss seeing you and this is a close 2nd to real life!! Thank you again!! Connie
And a beautiful card it is. With my memory, ha! I’ve been known to comment 2x because I didn’t remember looking at a card before, so it’s just fine with me to show some oldies.
It should say “an oldie but a beauty”! This is absolutely fabulous!
Sharon – this card is beautiful!!! Never seen this card…but I’m glad you shared it with us. This set is one of my favorites too and now you have inspired me to make a card with this set!!!
That is beautiful. I have the Baroque set and didn’t even notice it as such – looked like pre-printed paper at a quick glance. Very nice.
Whatever you care to share works for me, Sharon! This card is especially lovely; the double ribbons really finish it off beautifully, and the tip about raising the main layer to add grace was a bonus.
(Looking forward to seeing your chandelier/drapery card here; one of my all-time favorite cards! and an extremely simple Sassy Stems stands out too.)
Wish I lived close enough to come to your workshop(s)!
I think it is a fabulous idea. I spend so much time in the challenge galleries trying to comment on those cards, I rarely ever get a chance to scour the gallery for the older ones. This one is fabulous!! It may be an oldie, but it is definitely a goodie!!Thanks for sharing with us!!
A thing of beauty is a joy forever! Can’t go wrong seeing this one twice……it is just so elegant and beautiful!
Beautiful card, love the colors!
Very pretty.. I love the colors
Sharon you have such a gift! Thanks for sharing. And bring on the ‘oldies’ any time! I’m looking at my Baroque Motifs in a new way!
Gorgeous! One of my favorite SU SAB sets; love the sentiment!
This is my favorite set too Sharon. You have sooooo many beautiful cards in your SCS gallery that you should show them again. :D:D
I love your color combination.

Sharon, this is a wonderful idea!!! I’ve been so busy getting ready for my stamp camp tonight that I’ve missed a week’s worth of challenges and haven’t posted to my blog. I could do the same thing! Thanks so much for the inspiration! I’m heading to my blog to post an Oldie!!! LOL! BTW, the card you posted here is awesome; love those colors together!!!
This is a timeless beauty, Sharon, and I could never grow tired of beauty. Yes, I’ve seen everything in your gallery, but that’s okay with me. It’s worth seeing again. Thank you!
Good luck at your workshop, Sharon!! This is a gorgeous sympathy card, and I frequent SCS but I don’t always see them all. I did happen to see this one last night, but I am not complaining at ALL. I love your work and sometimes jogging my memory helps me to remember either where I have seen something or which card I want to CASE next. I have the All I Have Seen set, and I can’t wait to make a card similar to yours! Thanks again for reminding me! 🙂
Totally new to me and absolutely GORGEOUS! Perfectly fine with me to see “oldies but goodies”.
Gorgeous card, and new to me. And even if I had seen it before, I can’t imagine ever tiring of your beautiful creations. Have fun at your workshop!
I’m pretty new to SCS so I haven’t seen it and anyway, even if I had, it’s LOVELY! The colors are so pretty together and the one rhinestone brad at the top really added to it greatly! I’m awed by those of you who can turn out a new creation every day and appreciate seeing all of them!
Oh My Sharon!! This is just gorgeous!
Dee
Loved it the first time I saw it when you posted it on SCS and love it just as much the second time around 🙂 Lovely card!
Sharon, that is gorgeous! I have those brads and never use them, you’ve just given me a great idea! Thank you!
My goodness, it’s so pretty! I love it!
Hugs,
Joani
What a great idea, I think your card is so georgous! The colors together are just stunning and I love the way you popped it off the card body.
This card is great! It first drew my attention through the color combo, but then I saw the quote. I would really love to make cards with bible verses and your blog inspires me a lot. Thanks for sharing.
