Autumn One Sheet Wonder
A One Sheet Wonder.Paper, ink and nothing more on this set of cards — and I like them! It truly can’t get much more basic than this!!! I haven’t done a One Sheet Wonder in probably 6 – 8 years. I needed to make several thank you notes today and I wanted to use the leaf stamp from First Fruits by Papertrey Ink, so I just thought I’d try a One Sheet Wonder. Here’s the sheet I stamped — it’s a full 8.5 x 11, though it appears to be square, it isn’t.
See that leaf in the lower left with more yellowish tones? That was the first leaf I stamped. I determined I didn’t like that much yellow, so I changed course. But it’ll work into something just fine! To stamp these leaves I used a Spectrum Pad that was from SU, long since retired, called Late November. Love these colors in this pad. I pull it out every fall. I just started stamping in one corner and stamped across the diagonal, repeating my rows until done. It was so pretty I hated to cut into it!!! Here’s the cards I made with it:
Only 3 cards tonight. I’ll finish off the sheet tomorrow, so we can have Part II. Using this amount of the OSW on each card will give me 8 cards from the one full sheet. Not bad!!! And I must say, it was VERY relaxing to sit and stamp that repeated pattern, so much so that I think I may be doing more One Sheet Wonders in the future!!! I especially love stamping with the Spectrum pad — so fun!!! And another thing I love about this set of cards is that they are paper and ink ONLY, nothing more — nothing!!!! That doesn’t happen too often, but I am very pleased with these simple little cards. They were truly fun, and quick, to put together. Here’s a close-up of the oval sentiment, which was done using the Petite Oval Nestabilities by Spellbinders:
That leaf image is beautiful to begin with, but isn’t it just so gogeous done with the Spectrum pad? I love it!!! That’s it for tonight — more with my One Sheet Wonder tomorrow!!!

Hi Sharon- Love your OSW, so pretty! I was just getting out my Kaleidacolor stamp pad in Autumn Leaves to use with this set. I wanted to get going on my Thanksgiving cards and a few small gifts for my stamping friends. Hope my projects come out as pretty as yours! TFS.
Your wood loving fan,

Gosh…these are so pretty, Sharon!! I love the colors you’ve used on these beautiful leaves!! I have never tried a One Sheet Wonder, but it’s such a fantastic idea!!!
Wow! Gorgeous!
Hi Sharon! This ROCKS my friend and I just HAD to comment. Hugs, michelle
Sharon, these are gorgeous! That is a beautiful leaf stamp.
Fabulous! Love the colors you used and your finished cards are just plain beautiful!
Sharon,
Great cards. I love your colors too and I love the simplicity of them! Your leaves sure make beautiful thank you cards .
How in the world do you get the leaves so perfectly placed? I sure struggle with that. I tried doing something similar with roosters the other day and ended up throwing the entire sheet away. Do you do it just radom or do you have a plan?
Joan
I love the simple elegance of these Sharon!
Sharon,

Wow, Sharon, that turned out beautiful! I love that set, and I got it after you featured it awhile ago. I did three cards with it as you may have seen on my blog, trying to use all the images in the set. You’ll note I used that leaf for my background on my cards that I did. What a gorgeous way to do DP. TFS
I can’t believe you stamped this sheet of leaves. It looks like designer paper to me! Way to go girl! Love the cards you created. Just gorgous!
These are absolutely stunning thank you cards. The background paper you created is awesome. I am defintely going to give this a try! TFS!!
This turned out great! I sometimes “wonder” why I have a shelf full of patterned DP when you can get results like this just by stamping, huh! I’ve been eyeing this set from PaperTrey … and I probably NEED it now! Thanks for some great inspiration, Sharon. Beautiful!

GREAT job of stamping your own dp and the cards are FANTASTIC!!! What a beautiful set!! Thanks for the inspiration Sharon … need to put this lovely idea into my “memory bank”.
Your cards are very pretty Sharon. I love this quick and simple way to make a set of cards. Stamper’s Sampler, Take Ten Volume III, published a tutorial I did using a Spectrum pad and a leaf stamp set to stamp a OSW. I made 10 different cards with that one sheet. The article is entitled “Make Ten”.
What a great set. Such a great idea. We all should try to do more with basic items. Bravo… Can’t wait to see more!
Wonderful paper you created and I love the design for the cards-they look so good without embellies! tfs
Just beautiful Sharon! I take such delight in learning to stamp simply from you!!
I love this OSW, the colors are lovely!!
These are awesome! I love your One Sheet Wonder idea. The cards are gorgeous and I certainly understand why you love your ‘Late November’ spectrum pad. Rich colors, perfect for Autumn!

Wow, this is so pretty!! I’ve been aware of the OSW but until today was never inspired to try it. You can be sure I’ll be trying this now 🙂 Love your cards – very classy looking! TFS
WOW, Sharon!
Yes, this is totally beautiful as are the cards you made with the OSW! I thought that was designer paper at first glance. The colors are wonderful!
OMWOW! I love this so much! At least we can still find spectrum pads in the stores – they rock! This is a great idea – perfect for those beginner stampers who don’t have all the doodads and embellies. Did you use a ruler to keep the stamped pattern even?
So beautiful! These colors are perfect for the leaf image that you’ve chosen!
This is my kinda stampin’, Sharon! Love the purple–it’s that touch of surprise that just belongs there!
And, I have to tell you how great your Sew Simple bathroom perk post is! Makes me want to come and see it in person, wink! You are amazing Ü
Sharon, I have NEVER done a OSW but after seeing this I am going to now! Thanks for the inspiration!! Tamara
Sharon…this is beautiful. The colors are so fantastic and your stamping of the leaves are perfectly spaced and turned ineither direction to look perfectly random. Such beautiful work. I love the cards as well. So simple. Perfect!
Sharon, these are bee-yoo-ti-ful! I love the colors! This gives me a great idea for a future class at the store!
*Simply* gorgeous! I will have to CASE this one soon, as I had to buy that set just for that leaf image! Thanks for sharing! :o)
OK, this turned out so stinkin’ beautiful!! I never think to keep things simple sometimes!! Love this!! TFS!! 🙂
So beautiful! The full sheet was gorgeous, but your cards were even more beautiful. I just recently took out my spectrum pad that I’ve had for several years – untouched – forgot how fun they are. Thanks for sharing this beautiful – elegant -design.
beautiful! guess I should try it out.
Great cards! How in the world do you get them so evenly spaced? I like doing these with strips of the OSW, but can never get them spaced you have done. 🙂
Oh, Sharon….this is beautiful…and thanks for sharing your technique for stamping the whole sheet….I never thought to stamp ‘on the diagonal’….and I love the cards you made using the paper. IMO, this ‘one sheet wonder’ piece should be considered for a patterned paper design…perhaps you should think about creating your own line of pattern papers. Thanks for sharing.

Sharon, how gorgeous is this? Love, love, love it!!! Makes we wish I had this stamp set.
This is really wonderful – I’m getting my stamps and pads out right now to try your technique. Thanks for the inspiration. 🙂
Your OSW is just marvelous!! I think you made stunning paper, and chose a great layout for the cards!! TFS!
Wow! How much simpler but more elegant can it get? These are beautiful! I have this set and I think I have that pad…I better get stamping! Beautiful!
That paper you made is GORGEOUS! I would buy it in a store! It’s just lovely and the cards are fabu too!
This is so pretty! I love the color scheme you used! If you told me you were going to create a set with just ink and paper – no embellishments- I wouldn’t believe you that they would turn out so pretty! Fabulous!
WOWZERS! Yep, you stamp simply….simply FABULOUS.
what a great idea Sharon. I have never made a one sheet wonder… now I will have to give it a try.. your cards are lovely…
What ! No Ribbon! just kidding..had to tease you a little..
thanks for this great inspiration!
Judy
This must have been fun! So easy and you accomplished so much! I’ll bet it was hard to cut into that beautiful sheet of paper. I have this pad and was thinking about bringing it out soon. I do love the colors. Your thank you cards are perfect!
You should change your phrase from Stamp Simply to Stamp Elegantly, no one does elegant better than you!
Just Fabulous Sharon- as always!!
your clean style always inspires me!!
So simple and yet stunning, Sharon!
Late Novemeber has always beeen my favorite Spectrum, too, beautiful with that leaf!
Every project is magnificent. What inspiration!
