Heres myproject for todays challenge:

Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! 2 Cor. 9:15. I knew right from the get-go that this is theverse I would use for today’s Give Thanks! challenge. We all have so much to be thankful for each day, both our good fortune as well as our adversities, but first and foremost we are to be thankful to God for that truly indescribable gift He gave to us in Jesus Christ. The first portion of the verse is on the card front, andit continues on the card inside.

63-inside-420-wm-notime.jpg

I used my Double Mates by WorldWin for the card base. It’s so rich looking and I love how the inside is a coordinating color to the outside — and it has a great texture. It worked perfect here!!! And for my DP I used some new sheets from the Gretel collection by Cosmo Cricket I purchased by the individual sheet from Joan’s Garden.

63-stamps-420-wm-notime.jpg

I made my sentiment using the Brayton Font and 3 of the Harmony Rectangle Stampersby JustRite.2Rectangle Stamperscome in a box, one large and one small. You can see them above (and I have the stamper with the inside sentiment upside down in the photo — so sorry – that’s what happens when you work too late at night — LOL!!) The great thing about using the Font Sets is that you can create any message or sentiment you want, and that sure gives you a ton of flexibility!!! I cut my sentiments withmy new Labels One Nestability by Spellbinders that I also got from Joan’s Garden. I had to use the largest die in the set to get my focal image sentiment in it. Well, I wanted to mat it with another die, but there were none bigger — bummer — so here’s what I did.

63-nesties-cut-280-wm-notime.jpg64-back-taped-240-notime.jpg

I cut 2 brown mats with the same die that I used on the sentiment. Then I cut a piece out of the middle and set it aside. That gave me 4 shaped pieces that I could now place wherever I wanted. I just secured them behind my sentiment, so it would appear that I had a die the next size up that I used to mat my sentiment. There is a picture above of the back of the sentiment as I’ve taped on the 4 pieces to form a mat. When you view it from the front, one would never know it was a pieced mat unless they inspected it VERY closely!

Stamps: Brayton Font used with the Harmony Rectangle Stampers by JustRite Paper: SU Very Vanilla; Coffee Brown DoubleMates by Worldwin; Gretel DP by Cosmo Cricket Ink: Versa Fine Vintage Sepia, Ranger Distress Vintage Photo, Kaleidacolor Cappucino Delight Accessories: Labels One Nestabilities by Spellbinders, SU Jumbo Brass Eyelet and Vintage Brads, Cropadile, May Arts Ribbon, sewing machine and thread.
