And I have some more BLOG CANDY to share today as well! Today’s generous offering of Blog Candy is compliments of Scor-It and Marco’s Paper, and I have a project below to show you a simple home decor project I made using my Scor-It and some speciality paper from Marco’s Paper, but first, here’s the Candy offering:

mini-scor-it-260.jpgmini-scor-it-tote-260.jpg

acc-cardstock-480-wm-notime.jpg

Being offered is a Scor-It Mini with Tote, along with 10 sheets of Cardstock for Accordion Cards. What aGREAT offering!!! Thank you Scor-It and Marco’s Paper!!! The Accordion Cardstock measures 5.5″ high x 25″ long (how fun!!!). It is a beautifully smooth and white paper in 65# weight, giving you so many options for use!!! I have never seen cardstock in this length before, and I can’t tell you how elated I was to find this paper from Marco’s!!! I know you’ll love it, too!!!

To be entered for this Blog Candy drawing, all you need to do is comment below and tell me if you’ve ever made an accordion card before (or accordion tags and an accordion album) and if so, what did you make? Personally, I LOVE making them — they are SO fun and the recipients always LOVE them!!! This post will be closed for Blog Candy entries at 6:00 p.m. EST on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008. Shortly thereafter a random winner will be selected by random.org. The winner will be posted both on this thread and at Party Central. OK, now on to my project:

acc-on-desk-540-wm-notime.jpg

Here’s a full and opened view of this accordion card project on a desktop. It’s another one of those long projects that is rather hard to photo and capture much detail, so I’ll show you close-ups below.

acc-z-view-420-wm-notime.jpg

Here’s sort of an overhead view of the accordion card. It measures 5 5.” high x 24 inch long (I cut 1″ off the 25″ paper). It is scored every 6″ to give me thefour panels I needed for my four seaons. Each panel is 5.5″ high x 6″ wide. This can be folded and used as a card and then later expanded and used as a home decor item. OH, just think of all the different themes these could be made in — your children’s photos could even be inserted — HOW FUN!!!

As for supplies used, the background paper is from my stash from some LSS years ago. It is the same Brushed Metallic that SU does (or used to ) sell, only the color marked on the sheets is Bronze. It’s so pretty and goes so well with copper embossing powder. All embossing powders used are by SU, mostly retired by now I think. The ribbon is a beautifully soft May Arts satin. The stamp is my old Winter Woods by Rubber Stampede and the words are from Season by Season by SU. A Petite Oval Nestability by Spellbinders was used for the seasons.

acc-winter-420-wm-notime.jpg

I’ve used these trees a lot lately and this is the same copper/silver embossing that I’ve shown you here and here. The white paper used on this project is from Papertrey Ink, and the silver matting on my winter scene is the Brushed Silver Metallic from SU.

acc-spring-420-wm-notime.jpg

My spring trees are embossed in SU sage embossing powder, and before heating, I sprinkled on some Dazzling Diamonds. When you do this, not a lot of the DD stays on, but just enough gets stuck in the nooks and crannies of the powder so that it bakes in when you heat emboss and gives it just a hint of glimmer, which looks very nice IRL. Matted in Sage Shadow.

acc-summer-420-wm-notime.jpg

My summer trees are done exactly as my spring trees, only I used olive embossing powder by SU, and matted in Old Olive.

acc-autumn-420-wm-notime.jpg

My autumn trees were double embossed. I sprinkled Rust embossing powder on the bottom, shook it off, added the Mustard embossing powder on the top, then before heat embossing I sprinkled on some Garnet Glitter by Martha Stewart. Again, just a hint actually gets left and baked on, but it’s just enough to snazz it up a bit IRL.

acc-score-center-540-wm-notime.jpg

To score this 25″ piece of accordion cardstock I started by finding my midpoint with the ruler. That is 12.5″, so I marked it lightly with a pencil and scored there. Since I wanted mountain and valley folds for my accordion card, I flipped my paper over and see below:

acc-score-6-better-540-wm-notime.jpg

I then lined my score line up with the 6″ mark and scored. I did the same on the other side. I now have all my score lines made. I folded it on the center score, brought it to the paper cutter, and cut off that approx. 1/2″ that was *extra* on the ends. By scoring first and cutting last, I get my ends exact. When you score a piece many times, you do loose some length, so rather than try to account for that, I just do my scores first, then cut — makes it easy!!!

If you are wondering what to get a stamping/scrapping friend for Christmas, why notconsider a Scor-It? They come in 2 sizes, so there’s a style and price to fit each need. I honestly don’t know what I would do without mine, and I do have both sizes. You can read all about them at the Scor-It site. They also provide a list of retailers. I do know that Marco’s Paper carries the Scor-It, and Joan’s Garden most often has them in stock as well. And remember, Marco’s Paper has this fun Accordion Cardstock and also carries all the fun Mirricard (mirrored paper) that I’ve been using alot lately – really LOVE that paper. And I’ll have more Mirricard projects coming soon!!! And I will say one thing about shopping at Marco’s Paper — there is SO much there, you just don’t know where to begin. I’ve linked to the home page, and I have found it easiest, when looking for paper, to click on the Pricing Guide on the left – then you’ll get to a listing of all the types of paper — then you can go from there — at least that’s how I found it the easiest to navigate when looking for specialty papers!!! Other products by brand name are listed on the home page. Hope that helps!!!

And that about wraps it up for today again. Thank you so much for stopping in, and I hope you checked out all the links above to see all the projects some of the other girls did! Hope to see you back tomorrow for some more fun!!! Thanks so much!!!

And our WINNER is Lyn, #16. Congrats! Lyn!!! Here’s what she had to say:

Lyn S

Thanks for sharing your lovely project!

What a cool card. I’ve never seen that paper before and would to give it a try. I can learn a lot right here!!!

  2. Gina Sisco says:

Congrats on your milestone, wow thats a lot of hits, but always worth my stop. I have not made an accordion card, looked always to be time consuming, but with the Scor-It and the paper it would be a breeze!! Thanks so much. gina

  3. jules p says:

What a beautiful card. I have made an accordian album. It was for my mother. I always have a ton of small school pics around. So, I made one for each of my children for her.
It did not look at pretty as yours, though.

  4. Susan H. says:

I love your card, it’s beautiful and elegant! I have never made an accordian card but think I should put it on my to-do list. It looks like the Scor-It would be a big help.

Thank you for the chance to win!

  5. Nancy J says:

I have made one accordion card. It was for my husband for Father’s Day. I wrote “You have all the Tools needed to make a great Father” on the front – and of course I put some tools on there too. My DH loves to build things with tools so it was a really cute and fun thing for him to have. I put pictures of our kids on each panel. He just loved it. It really would have been nice to have that long paper to work with and not have to deal with attaching papers together – which made the card awfully heavy.

I really like your card with the different seasons represented by your trees. You did such a great job! (as always!)

  6. Veronica says:

I’ve never made an accordian card or an accordian tag set but seeing you do it with the Scor-It definitely makes it look easy. I asked my S/O for a Scor-Pal for Christmas and he can’t imagine why that would be on my Christmas list (yeah…doesn’t get it–yet). I think I’ll pick one up for myself next week. Thanks for sharing. Very beautiful card.

  7. Deena says:

Sharon I love your accordian fold card!! Gorgeous embossing! I have to admit, I have never made any myself! I don’t know why…I guess the great length of Marco’s paper would help…Thanks for the chance at this amazing blog candy!

  8. Kathy B says:

I have made one accordian card, using a stamp that had 4 scenes on it. I used one scene per panel. It was small, but very cute (I saved it-just couldn’t give that one away-it was one of my very first cards).

I have been wanting to do light blue christmas cards this year and I have now found the right inspiration. Thank you!!!!

  9. Kiko says:

Your projects are gorgeous, as usual. What super blog candy! It never occurred to me to look for long paper like this! I made a small accordian book recently to go inside a bag book. It works really well to pull together a common theme with the little panels. You’ve given me some great ideas here.

  10. Curt OBrien says:

Wow! Another wonderful gift! I have made an accordian photo album for my Mom for Mother’s day. I gathered all of the pics I had taken of her little dog “Chunk” whom she adores and made the album for her. She loved it and it sits on her mantle. Thanks for the opportunity to win! Best, Curt

  11. Lori Mueller says:

OMGosh! I’m awe-struck with your accordian display! I’ve never made one of these, nor accordian tags (but not for lack of thinking about it!) I definitely have to give this a try. Thanks for sharing!

  12. Michelle says:

That paper is the coolest! I made an accordian fold project once, or at least I started it! I intended to use it as a photo display holder, but never actually got the photos put in it! Your seasonal card is gorgeous!

  13. Shir Benovich says:

I once did an acordion tags album, and I gave it to a co-worker who needed a present for her husband. I plan to do more.
I really like yours! So color-rich and proffesional!

  14. Cheri Howard says:

Once again, you’ve produced some GORGEOUS cards!

I’ve made a couple of accordion books, one of which was given away filled with photos from a good-bye party. The other is at The Paper Freak. I still haven’t decided how to use the book, so it sits…and waits…for its turn to make someone smile.

Thanks for a chance to win another wonderful candy!

  15. Susan says:

Thanks for the chance to win such a great gift! I have made a couple of accordians – the biggest one was a four panel that held gift cards to various places. It was a lot of fun to make, like four little cards. I used a flower theme so each of them were sitting in paper crafted flower pots.

  16. Lyn S says:

Thanks for sharing your lovely project!

I haven’t made an accordian book before…..the nearest I’ve come would be a star book that I made for my Mother. It featured scrapping our family heritage and she just loved it!

  17. C Burke says:

No, I have never made an accordion card. It would be an interesting project, I’m sure! Yours are gorgeous!

  18. Kathie Tice (aka chattiekathie) says:

Beautiful card, Sharon! I have made and accordian tag card – it was a lot of fun to do!

  19. bunny says:

Nice card! I’ve never made an accordian card before!! Guess I’ll have to try it some time 🙂

  20. Dani Miller says:

I haven’t made an accordian card or tag yet but plan on doing so soon. I just love the tutorials you have provided and want to thank you for all the hard work you put into your blog!! You are very talented and I am glad you are willing to share!

  21. I have made a short accordian card using angels as the theme. I had 4 stamps so I created a short accordian. Yours is lovely and I guess I will have to give it a try…such a chore Ha Ha.
    Happy Holidays
    Heather

  22. Christine says:

Awesome card of all the seasons! I have not made an accordian card but it certainly looks easy with that long card and a score it.

  23. Pam Clay says:

Beautiful card! And yes, I have made an accordian tag card before. I made it for my grandson for Halloween with green, purples, oranges and black. It was my first one and not very hard at all, so I think I’ll do more!

  24. Glenda J says:

Your accordian card showing the seasons with the trees is so beautiful. I have made a couple of the accordian cards for pictures as small gifts. But, I NEED a Scor-It so the folds will be neat and straight!!! Thanks for all you share and your wonderful Blog!

  25. Lois (clownmom) says:

What great paper for making an accordian card — I’ve never seen it before. And your card is just beautiful. Yes, I have made an accordian card before — several, in fact. The latest one was a CASE of your Merry Christmas tag card. But I had made one last year and gave it to my mom, who is in an assisted living facility. It included several pictures of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren — in an effort to help her remember them. It sits on her nightstand. I’m not sure she remembers all of them, but it made me happy to make it for her.

  26. Wendy (songbirdwc) says:

I’ve never done an accordian card — but looking at this one, I’ll have to do one soon! Delightful layout and design — and I love the repeated scene embossed for different seasons. OK, I’m casing this! 🙂 I’d LOVE to try the scor-it!

  27. Laurie Helgason says:

I’ve never made an accordian card. An accordian card with pictures would be a nice gift.

In September, when Marco’s Paper comes to the Stamp Expo at the St. Paul Fair Grounds, I try to stock up on paper for the whole year. Their smooth white paper is the best I ever used for cards. And the prices for the specialty papers are a good deal.

I would love to own the Scor It to create the fancier folded cards.

  28. Jo R. says:

Beautiful project as usual Sharon! I’ve made 2 accordian cards/albums as gifts for 2 graduating Year 6 students from my kids’ school. It’s a tiny school (only 12 students from Kindergarten to Year 6) so moving up to high school is a big deal. I made the card/album with pockets where all the students and school staff could write a message of encouragement on a tag, and it slipped into a pocket. The recipients loved them.

  29. bluemoon says:

Sharon, your accordian card is stunning. It’s my first accordian card to view, and I love it, well done! I am dying for a Scor It, but I cannot find one near to me. I’m loving your elegant simple style and have gotten a few more embossing folders, and hope to take less time to stamp, but make lovely creations like you. thank you so much for such talented inspiration.

  30. What awesome blog candy….I personally have never made an accordian card….I have to say that I am loving your example…..now I need to find me some of that accordian paper and get a score it and I’ll be set…
    Good luck to everyone

Beeeutiful card! Sadly, I have not made an accordian card from scatch, though I have made one from pre-scored cardstock. It would be a real treat to win your great blog candy. It truly would be.

    Karen W, [email protected]

  37. Tracey says:

Fabulous project! I have yet to make anything in the accordion style but I love the look so I think I will give it a try.

  38. Carol P says:

I have made one of these…in a class. We used small artist canvases for the ends and I use mine as a min scrapbook that sits on my mantle. I have photos of my family in it. I would like to make a card one day using this technique. Thanks for the chance to win!

  40. Christina gambell says:

I just want to say how much I love your blog. I linked from your beautiful holiday accordian card at SCS. I love accordian style. I have made a few accordian mini scrapbook albums. I was having trouble finding the longer lengths of paper as the store I had previously gotten them from is many, many hrs drive away, but know I know so thanks for sharing….and thanks for the chance to win.

  41. Caiti says:

I have never made one before, but am always tempted to when I see them on blogs! I admit that I don’t have a scoring tool that makes it easy to make one, which is why I have yet to do so! Maybe I’ll win the blog candy and make one soon 🙂

  42. Ginny H says:

Beautiful card with the trees. It is so pretty. One of the first cards/albums I ever made was an accordian. It was for my husband for Valentine’s Day. It is around this house somewhere 🙂

  43. Karen from Ontario says:

Very lovely accordian card. Yes I have made a few of these. One in particular was for a wedding. I included the date, little pockets for messages, different elements on the inside. It was fun to create.

  44. LateBlossom says:

Lovely card! I made a accordion card/album for my mother a few years ago for mother’s day. It had matte board covers that were covered in gorgeous paper I found at my LSS, and each page was embellished with ribbon, stamps, and little memories from my childhood. So cool!

  45. Nikki says:

    This is gorgeous! Personally I’ve never made an accordian card before but I’ll hve to change that soon! {SMILES}

  46. Carla says:

Sharon, your accordion card is so beautiful! I love the metallics and the wonderful embossed trees! Thanks for the chance to win!
    Carla

  47. What a great card! And I have this stamp too and love using it! I’ve never made an accordian card before. I will definitely have to give it a try now that I’ve seen how they’re done. Thanks for the tutorial!

  48. Melinda G says:

I would love to try an accordian card, can’t wait to begin! I love your embossed trees, gorgeous with that hint of glitter!
    Smiles, Melinda G

  49. Marla says:

Congratulations on an amazing milestone! One of the first projects I ever made was a mini-accordian book. The book held a mini Post-It Note pad and a pen. I used All the Best for my stamp set. The project is still one of my favorite! But your accordian card is absolutely beautiful!

  50. Diana Downey says:

I have never made an accordian card…but it sure looks easy with the Scor It tools. Your card is awesome!!! Thanks.

  53. Kathy says:

I love your accordian card!! Of course, I love everything you do! I have made accordian cards before (I make one after each grandchild’s birthday, using a few photos from their party–like a mini scrapbook without the commitment!–and they love them. A Scor It would sure make life easier (hint, hint). Thank you for your wonderful blog.

  54. Jamie Wilcox says:

What a lovely card!! Yes, I’ve made a little accordion book before for a new baby and the mom just loved it. The Scor-It looks terrific – what a nice package! Marco’s comes to our stamp convention in Grapevine, TX faithfully twice a year — they’re a fantastic company to boot.

  55. Kathie says:

    Summer, Winter, Spring or Fall.
Sharon is an inspiration to all!
No I have never made an accordion card but how much easier it would be if I could win that scor it!! Pick me!!
Thanks for the chance and have a great day.
    Kathie

  56. Janislu says:

I am drooling over your accordian card. I would love to be able to make an accordian card in one piece versus several. My favorite was one I made for my daughter’s 3rd mothers day- had pictures of her twins and oldest daughter along with various sayings about being a mom.

  57. Cindy Q. says:

Wow….I love the trees!!! You are so inspiring…I wish I had more time to make all these projects. I have not made an accordion card, but would like to try it sometime. Maybe if I win…… 🙂 Have a great day!

  58. Cheryl B. says:

  62. Val S says:

I love your accordian card…elegant! I haven’t made an accordian card, but I did make a mini accordian book for a swap. They were fun to make and it was easy as it was quite small. The long paper certainly would make accordian cards much easier to make! Congrats on your milestone!!

Your card is stunning. It’s been a long time since I made an accordian card, but you’ve inspired me.

  64. Carole B. says:

  66. Jackie W. says:

Oh this is stunning! I absolutely love the idea of it! I have not “finished” an accordian card, but I have one started on my desk from awhile back! I really need to get it done, don’t I??! I will do it! Thanks for the inspiration!

    Kate

  72. Ursula in RSA says:

Thanks again for a chance to win. I have never made an accordian card, but have decided to do one for a special little grandaughter (all of 2 weeks old) for her 1st Christmas. Just love the elegance of yours

  73. Amy Johnson says:

Beautiful card! Yes, I have made an accordian card, but not on my own, I made one in a class at my LSS.

  74. Wenda says:

Z accordian 6 3/4″ x 12″ card was the most recent adventure in scoring mountain and valley folds before applying horizontal stripe 1 1/4″ above the bottom edge. Layering with the majority of the weight adhesived near that line gave a better balance and stability for display. In this case, the progress of a school fire, destruction, football uniforms being rescued, football practice, challenge for #1 in the State! Aerial football, goalpole uprights or waving fan hand and arms and documentation were in the upper 1/4 of the panels.
    Go Blog Candy!

    Thanks for sharing~

  77. Shelli says:

I have not made an accordian card before, but I have played with a friends score-it and it was a pretty cool tool! At this point I don’t own either score-it or scor-pal…..I would really love to own one! (hint hint!!) Thanks for a great blog!

  78. Monica says:

What a gorgeous card, made with one of my alltime favorite sets! I’ve only ever made one accordian card, believe it or not, but after seeing your beauty, I’m going to have to have another go at it!

  79. Angie Marion says:

  83. Sharon, I love your accordion card.
I have made many accordion cards and books.
You have inspired me to get out my accordion papers and go to work on a new project.

As a gift, for my sweet mil, I purchased an accordian card set and used it to showcase her visit to Virginia during the fall last year; she sincerely treasures it, which makes me feel nice because it was made with love. I can’t get over how lovely your accordian card is especially with the double embossing; will definitely give that a try. A special thanks to your sponsors for offering such wonderful gifts we all have a chance to win.

  86. Dawn (stampinscotsgirl) says:

I have never made an accordian card before, but I love what you did with yours! It looks so elegant! I am always a little intimidated with techniques. I tend to stick to fairly simple and basic techniques. I guess I am just a simple girl, lol!

  87. Barb says:

Sharon, I have never made an accordion card, but after seeing yours, I know it is something I am going to have to try. I love what you did!

  88. Sharon, your card is so beautiful! I love the colors and the differences you made in the trees! I have made an accordian tag album — although not a “true” accordian, perhaps, as I assembled all the pages separately. Here are two of the pages: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/796025?cat=500&ppuser=8519

I need to try a real one using your awesome tutorial! Thanks so much for the great pictures!

  89. Mary R. says:

I made ONE accordian card BEFORE I got my scorpal! Now, I make them all the time. However, the one I made first won the WOW! card contest at my SU! demonstrator retreat a few years ago. I think they were just impressed it was straight because they know me! LOL

  90. jeannen2 says:

I made an accordian tag before, but it was without any scoring tools. That’s probably why I haven’t done any since — it doesn’t exactly work out evenly without them I think! Jeannie

  91. Debbie B says:

No I haven’t, but I’d love to try it. Thanks for chance to win the score pal.

  92. Janet B says:

I haven’t made one before, but you’re making me wish I had! I’m going to add it to my ‘to do’ list. Thanks for letting me enter.

  93. Chris says:

I never made an accordian card before. Your detailed directions are great. I’ve got to order some of that paper from Marco’s.
Thank you to both Scor-it and Marco’s Paper for the fantastic blog candy. I’ve been dreaming of a Scor-it for Christmas, maybe it will be coming my way!
    Hugs

  94. Summer says:

Hi Sharon:) I have never made an accordian card, but I have made an accordion album as a holiday present for a family member. I love your stamping technique, I’ll have to try that! Hmmm… I think I have that stamp somewhere…. 🙂

  95. Hey Sharon!
I made a pretty accordion card for Valentines last year using that awesome silk chocolate ribbon SU carried. I had to piece it together though – no cool paper like you are offering here! I’d love to try this! Thanks for all your awesome inspiration and offers! Hope you’re enjoying all the nice snow we’re getting. BTW – hubby got an 8 point up your way so we have meat in our freezer:)
    Have a happy day!

  96. Tina says:

    Hi-

This is some exciting blog candy! I have made a few accordian cards before– a few that I gave to friends, but I kept one for myself– a Christmas card from last year. I put it up on my mantle piece for a few days and just fell in love with it. They make great setiments and awesome holiday/seasonal decorations to be used year in and year out. A Scor- it and that awesome paper from Marco’s would certaintly make accordian card making even more enjoyable!

  97. Jen Nevil says:

    Hi,

What great blog candy. I’ve made an accordian tag cards several times, for an occasion from valentines day to birthday. They are fun to make and I love the many ways you can decorate the tags!

    Jen

  98. Sylvie Greeniaus says:

Love it! Will be making this one but would love a score-it mini and the long card stock! Nothing like the right tools for the job to make a project more fun to make. I have made things in accordion style, mini books & cards. Always easier with one long sheet of card stock then sticking smaller papers together. Thanks or the great prize and chance to win!
    Sylvie G.

  99. Carol says:

I’ve never tried making an accordion card, but what you’ve created is just gorgeous! How I love that 2 color embossing you do! You always inspire me to try new things with your fabulous blog, so perhaps this might just be the time for me to give this a go!
Congrats again on all the blog hits, but you certainly deserve it!!

  100. Ann Lind says:

I have never made an accordian card ,tag card or album. I love the look your card is beautul. I don’t have any paper that long but I suppose you could do a tag card with regular 12″x12″ paper you have inspired me to try. I have to make a birthday card for someone special for this Friday. TFS Ann

  101. Barb says:

I have made only one accordian fold card :(. It’s a Christmas card that never made it out of my home :D. The inside has four pockets and each pocket has a tag in it. The tag fronts are: N, O, E, and L. On the back of the tags are different scriptures telling the Christmas story of the birth of Christ. Folded, it measures 3″ x 5″.

Thanks for the tip of scoring first and then trimming off the excess. I will certainly be checking into Marco’s paper too.

I really like your accordian folded seasons card. The different colors you used to heat emboss the trees are awesome. Very beautiful card!

  102. Anne says:

CONGRATULATIONS on your milestone! What an accomplishment! I have made several accordian albums, but never used any of them (whoops)! I’ve actually given away several 🙂 My favorite is to make the accordian album, then put a binder on the back to make it into a little book! Too cute!

  103. Ann says:

Those are beautiful trees. So nice to see the same stamp done different ways.

I have never made an accordian book, but I was thinking about trying to do something with the 12 days of Christmas cuts from my cricut & an accordian book might work.

  104. Lisa says:

I have not made an accordian card to date, but planned on copying your Merry Christmas tag layout for a decoration on a long windowsill and can’t wait to get going on it!!

  126. Lana D says:

I have never made an accordian card but they look fun.

  127. Gabriela says:

I’ve only made one accordion type project and while I loved the outcome, it was a bit challenging without the benefit of a Scor Pal; sadly I was never able to make another. It was a tiny wallet size photo album of my favorite photos of my little girl and I gave it to my mother. I’m ashamed to admit that I wish I’d kept it for myself.

  128. Thanks for the chance to win. I have made an accordian mini album of sorts. It had a chipboard tag on the front and back and CS in the middle with pictures of each of my kids inside. I still have it on my shelf.
    Love your accordian project!

  129. Marisa says:

I just LOVE your tree accordion card! The double coloured embossing is fabulous and it is such an elegant card!! I have only made one accordion card – it was in our club night and it was a lot of fun to make. Why I haven’t made another one is beyond me — think it’s time to make another! Thanks for the chance to win 🙂

  130. Karen says:

I absolutely love your accordian card/project today Sharon. Wow! How do you make such lovelies each and every time.

  133. Connie says:

I have only made a few accordian cards because I don’t have the money to buy the longer paper and ‘piecing’ them together is just so difficult and does not look very professional.

    I LOVE your postcard idea!

  134. Nikki says:

I haven’t had an opportunity to make an accordian card before, but your seasons one is gorgeous!

I’ve used a scor-it board before, but only for scoring brochures at work. What a handy tool to have at home too!

  138. Yes, I have made many accordian cards. I think all of them have had a seasonal theme: Valentines, Thanksgiving, Chirstmas, Easter, Halloween. So I suppose I should make one that is “just because.” Pull my name and I”ll be making them often! hehe. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Your accordian card is beautiful. I have never made one but you have definitely inspired me to try it. Part of the problem was having a large piece of paper to use. Now I will have to try Marco’s paper and check out the possibilities. Your blog candy is awesome, and I would love to win it since I don’t have the mini Scor It. Again thanks for being so generous.

  147. pegg says:

I’ve never made an accordion card before! It would definitely be easy with the Scor-It! What a gorgeous project w/ the same image !!

  148. Joyce across the pond says:

I have made an accordian card but not as good as this one…will definitely have a try. I like accordians because I handwrite (I’m a calligrapher) lots of greetings/information on cards and all the space these cards affords is great….the first panel can be the ‘Congratualtions to whomever” – perhaps the second panel would be the date of the anniversary or occasion, whatever….the third would hold a verse suitable for the occasion and the last panel would probably include “With love from whomever” etc….when this is all handwritten in a co-ordinating colour it makes for a beautiful keepsake…and presented in a colour matching box just completes the look so yes, accordian cards really do it for me! Thanks for sharing this.

  149. Darlene says:

What a beautiful accordion card – what great idea doing the seasons of the trees. Thanks for the tutorial too. I’m going to try this for sure.

  150. Herlinda Henry says:

The first time I made one was at a Scor-It booth at a scrapbook convention. It was so easy. Mine was a tag accordian for Christmas that you could attach pictures to each tag. The Scor-It would be a great coo to win. It would make a lot of projects that involve scoring very easy. Your season project with trees was very pretty. I could feel the seasons change as I looked at each section. Thanks for sharing.

My SU demonstrator had us make a cool accordion “wallet” with pockets for pictures and notes. It will really cool! Love your card and the scor-it seems like such a nice tool to. And how nice not to have to glue bunches of sheets of paper together… one sheet of paper is long enough for a whole card. Neat!

    Thanks for the opportunity!

  153. Ida says:

To my knowledge I’ve never made an accordian card before but I love yours (especially the Fall panel) it’s beautiful. What a great giveaway too.

    Congratulations on your million milestone!

  157. Lisa808 says:

I made an accordian card once before. Last year I made a four-fold with pockets, front and back. Inside the pockets I put scratch-off lottery tickets. It was a thank-you for friends that had us for dinner.

Thanks for the chance to win a score-it. I could really use one!

  158. Jarie says:

    Sharon,

I just love your blog and appreciate you sharing all of your talent. I have made an accordian card. I used half of a manila folder and made my card from that. It was really a fun and easy project to make. Some people are making them now and calling them holiday planners.

    Janet

  171. Kerry from PA says:

I have never made an accordian card (yet) but I can see using it as a mini-album for a trip or special occassion (wedding) etc. I might have to place a quick order for that paper for a Christmas project (if I don’t win that is). Marco’s is the best. Their booth is always at the top of our list at the local Heirloom convention. I was blessed to win my scor-it from them several years ago. I had no idea what I had won until I got home and looked it up on the web. It would be an absolute blast to win the mini version! The big one is great, but the mini would be so nice for taking on the road.

  172. Sherry in LA says:

I’ve never made an accordian card but now that I’ve seen yours, it will be my next project. Thank you for easy to follow instructions.

  175. Karyl says:

I make accordions all the time! They are my favorite thing to make. Last year I made Christmas accordions for my 4 sisters and they loved them!! My goal is to have one for every holiday and then every season so that we can always have an accordion of some sort on display!

  176. Kitty Rodahl says:

I’ve never made an accordian card, but have made little books of this kind to practice sequencing with elementary children. I thought a “church” book/card with family members’ pictures would be cute too. Oh, Sharon, you’ve got me thinking now!! Thanks!

  177. Helen V says:

Hi– your card with the trees is BEAUTIFUL. I’ve never seen paper like that either. Hmmm have I ever made an accordion card? Only a 3 panel one. I know in my stash I have some pre-folded accordion card stock that I could use — you can be my inspiration! Thank you for sharing your creativity!
    Helen

  178. Sandie Luck says:

Yes, yes, yes! I have made an accordian album before for my brother!! It was a gift with reminders of his long ago childhood and many reasons that we as his family celebrate his life! He’s such a sweetie! Always helpful and caring.
Thanks for the encouragement of making another accordian card, etc!
    Warm wishes…..~Sandie

  179. Marian Berggren says:

Yes, I have made an accordian card before. For a couple of years I have had some first graders make an accordian Mother’s Day card. They are really cute. I really like the idea of 25″ paper though – no more taping paper together 🙂
Congrats on all the hits! Thanks for the fun week you have planned. WOW! I can hardly wait for each day to get here 🙂 Today’s candy with the 25″ paper and mini Score-it is exciting. Thanks for the chance to win.

  181. Vicki says:

WOW!!! This is just gorgeous!! I don’t have one of these score toys yet…but I’d like to get one!! 😉 I had made a couple months ago an accordian tag creation with birds on it that I submitted to my Prickley Pear. You can see it here: http://stampedsmiles.blogspot.com/2008/07/outdoor-life-vintage-new-images.html Thanks so much!! 😉

  189. Gorgeous card Sharon ! I made an accordian card , but it was really more like a little book , for my SOF buddies on SCS a few years ago using Julie HRR’s tutorial , it turned out ok , but as I look at it now in my gallery I am not too pleased with it .
That accordian cardstock looks like it would be perfect for a do over ! Would also love to win the Scor-it as I don’t have one yet ! Thanks and congrats on the million hits !

Oh gosh! What a lovely prize you are giving away!

I have never made an accoridan card before – I always battled with having enough stamps in one theme. But now that I have seen yours and that you used the same stamp just in different colours, I shall definately give it a try 🙂

Thank you for the tutorial, and the chance to win!

  195. Anne says:

Hi Sharon, Congratulations on reaching 1,000,000. It’s very easy to see how this has happened – your work is totally inspirationaly and your blog is a joy to visit. Thank you.
Well, I’m like you – I love making all things accordian. My lates has been a little accordian file – it’s a miniature version of the standard files. I’ve made quite a few. I’ve made some bridal ones that can be used for the wedding photos that didn’t make it to the album, but are too good to throw away, and some I’ve made to file recipes into. I’m sure that a scor-it would stop the card from ‘skewing round’.
Hugs, Anne. dinkuminkum at yahoo dot co dot nz

For Thanksgiving I made my husband, son, and daughter little accordian-like albums using tiny envelopes (ala Paper Source) — and put in each envelope a reason that I am thankful for them. I used my JustRite rectangular stampers and had a blast. It was a great project and they were each suitably impressed. I want to make accordian tags like you did on the JustRite blog, so hopefully I’ll get to that soon.

I have made another accordian fold project though. When my brother went to Iraq I made him a photo album that was supposed to be “sand proof”! Well, I actually have made accordian tags before — and I used my large Scor-It! The accordian tags were for a scrapbook that I made for our boss who was retiring. I took a picture of each of us that worked for her, and behind each picture, slid in an accordian tag which each person decorated and wrote their thoughts about her as a boss and friend. I made approximately 15 tags in no time flat. The scrapbook turned out great and my boss absolutely loved it!
And I love my large Scor-It but would love to have a small one to take with me when I go to classes, etc. Thanks for the chance to win one!

  273. Laraine R says:

I love your project. You are just too talented!!! I have not made an accordion fold card but I have been thinking of doing a mini album for my DH for Christmas. I think I will have to consider this a challenge. Thanks.

  284. Lana Edwards says:

Yes I have made an accordion album. I made it look like an old 45 record using two CD’s covered in black SC for the covers, it was for a friend who retired and had a retirement and her birthday party with the theme of “Elvis” whom she loved. It was a big hit.

  285. Diane says:

Hi Sharon. First of all, I loved your 7 days at SCS. The accordian tag that you made sparked interest in me. I must admit, using my friskars personal cutter for my guide (The cutting groove), didn’t exactly produce the best lines (slightly uneven, and some areas were tearing,) and so the spark flickered out. I’ve always wanted to purchase a scor it, but shipping to Hawaii is darn too expensive because it weighs so much, and that’s probably why the local craft stores refrain from carrying it too. If I win, you can bet on my relatives receiving one this Christmas.
    Happy holidays to you!

  286. Lisa R says:

Oh my goodness – this is soooooo cute. I am brand new to cardmaking and can’t wait to try this.

  287. Grace Cooper says:

    Cindy

  292. laurie v says:

I have made an accordion tag before, but it wasn’t half as pretty as your card. I’m gonna have to get some of that paper from Marco Paper. I would love to have a scor it, but would like to see it in person before I buy it. Unfortunately, no one sells it in the town I live in. I guess I should get in the car and go for a road trip/shopping spree.

  293. Dell says:

Firstly – Congratulations on your great achievement.

I have done an accordian project where by I used the same produre to attach quite a few baby pictures so that I could attach it to a SB layout. It worked really good.

Your blog candy would be great to win.

    Thanks

  294. I made 1 accordian card before. It was for a little girl’s birthday that a friend had me make. It was really fun, kinda like lots of mini cards all in one. Here is a link to it in my SCS gallery:

    http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/482557?cat=500&ppuser=103425

You card is gorgeous and makes me want to go searching for more 24″ paper to try another card. Thanks!!

Ooh, I’ve been coveting a Scor-it for quite some time. And those long sheets of Marco’s Paper are so cool! I’d love to try a full-sized accordion project.

I have made an accordion card, but it was quite small, as I started with just a 12″ long strip of cardstock.

  305. Deb says:

Wow Sharon! I always love your stuff, but you are so ON lately! Amazing creations! I just sit here with my mouth hanging open!

I’ve made quite a few accordian projects, but the one that is most special to me was a teeny tiny accordian album in a paper mache` box that I made when my friend passed away. The box was about a 2 inch cube with a windowed top, and the album’s last page was glued inside to the bottom so that you could unfold it and stand it like a frame. It was filled with pockets and tags and pictures of Todd, a labor of love and a gift for his mom, Lola. Helped me work through my grief, and was a real treasure to her.

    Blessings! Deb

  306. Jill says:

I have made an accordian fold card before. This is mine:
    http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/424565?cat=500&ppuser=56248

I saved a box that came in the mail with an AOL CD inside and glued the front of the card into the box. The accordian card was a Christmas card/gift for my best friend.

  307. Melody says:

Sharon, again you’ve inspired us! I love your idea using the four seasons! I’ve made an accordian card using photos, but now, thanks to you, I’m thinking of all the other possibilities! The Scor-It is a MUST HAVE!

  308. Laurie says:

I have made an accordian card before but it was a miniature & was mounted on a regular card. I don’t remember how many “pages” it had but it was fun to make.

  309. Amy Sabol says:

Sharon — love the accordian fold! My children and I have made these cards many times in the past. The last one I made was at a holiday stamp camp a few years back. Thank you for the chance to try at some blog candy. Thank you for sharing your wonderful creations, too! ~Amy S.~

  310. Alanna M says:

What a great accordian book you have going on. I just love it. I have started an accordian type scrapbook but never got around to finishing it. It was to be for my aunt for her birthday this past year. Some time, I’ll get around to finishing it. (I hope). Thanks for the chance to win some of this fabulous blog candy. I still don’t own any scor-it tools. 🙁

  311. Yvonne says:

Gorgeous card! I’ve never made an accordian card before. It always seems so overwhelming. I absolutely love how you’ve used the different shades of embossing powder on these trees. Stunning!

  312. Karen says:

I love the embossing! No, I have never made an accordian card, but I think it would be fun to make one as a small book using some of my husband’s beautiful nature photos. I am glad to know about this paper. Thanks for giving us this opportunity.

  313. Anna/Oma says:

I am very new to cardmaking and stamping and have never made an accordion card. The card you made is stunning! I can’t believe how much I’ve learned about paper crafting by blog hopping!

  314. Gail H says:

I have not yet made an accordion card. I love yours and it makes me want to try and make one. Maybe I will try today…if I can find the time.. 😉

    Gail 🙂

  315. Your card is beautiful. I’ve never made an accordian card, but I always admire them when I see them posted. I’ll have to give one a try!

  316. Jill says:

I haven’t tried this card before but what a great idea — maybe a project for my next card club group. I’ve done smaller versions for a pocket scrapbook type project for new grandmother’s to show off pictures. Nothing quite this elegant looking though.

  317. Rose Rivera says:

I’ve never made an accordion card but would love to try making one. Yours is beautiful. You’ve shown us how simple it would be with the score it and the perfect cardstock. If I don’t win, I might just have to go out and buy both. Hope I win !

  318. Ana says:

Beautiful card, I’ve never done an accordian card and I’ve been stampin for 7 years

  319. Janine says:

I was thinking about getting one of these. It is hard to see the black part on the website to see how it is different than the Scor-Pal. Anyway your cards are beautiful!

  320. I have never made an accordian card. After seeing your lovely card I am going to give it a try.

    Thanks for sharing!
    Robbie

  321. Carole says:

I have never made an accordian card, but this is the second website in as many days with a tutorial on how to do it. Think somebody is trying to tell me something?

The more I see the Score-it, the more I want one. I wonder if Santa is listening.

  322. Beverly Bishop says:

I’ve never tried an accordian card. However, you may have encouraged an attempt. Also, I’ve never heard of c/s that long. Great incentive.

  323. Eileen McClean says:

I havn’t made one but I love this example so must try it. Congratulations and thanks for the inspiration.
    Eileen

  324. Jeana says:

    Wow, your card is beautiful!
I’ve made one accordian card for my Dad years ago. I put it in a tin with pictures of my children. He still has it, so I guess he liked it ;).

  325. Linda Sims says:

I haven’t made an accordian card or tag yet. But I really like your example. Thanks for showing all the close-ups.

  326. Charlotte Gunderson says:

Beautiful card. I love what you do with the accordian fold. Looks like I have to go on a shopping spree.

  327. Darsana says:

I LOVE this card. What a great idea. I have never done an acordian card, but I have done one where you open from the left, than the right, than flip a panel up to revel the final message. It was far from perfect, but the recipiant was just tickled to receive it and it was a hit around the office. Love to win the Scor-It. I don’t have one, so this would be wonderful and very generous of the Scor-It company and of Marco’s Paper for the card stock as well. Thank you.

  328. Karen in KY says:

Hi Sharon – Congrats on oh, so many hits. I am glad I was able to make a small contribution to that number ! I have never made an accordian anything as an adult, but did make a few cards in my childhood years. Your projects are great and the Scor-It would certainly help. Thanks for the opportunity.

  329. Susan B says:

Congratulations on the blog hits. I have never made an accordian card, but would love to try it after seeing your lovely one made with the trees stamp. Thanks for sharing and for the opportunity to win blog candy.

  330. Annelies says:

I’ve never made such a card, but I do like them a lot. I might try it once, when I find some time. Love your card and candy! Thanks for a chance to win! Greetings from Belgium, Annelies

  331. Dana Herin says:

I love your accordian card. I have only made a few accordian style items. One was a large decor item at a class at GASC convention. It used the tall rectangle canvases as the panels. I have also made small baby brag books. I really want a Scor-it. I do not have a lot of time to scan the internet but have seen a lot of references to the Scor-it lately. I added the mini (more affordable) to my Christmas list. Who knows, maybe I will be the winner here!

  332. Debra Booe says:

What a beautiful card! I’ve never made an accordian card, but that time is swiftly coming to a close. ; ) Thanks for the wonderful celebration and congratulations!
    debra~

  333. Damjana says:

What a great idea! Love your card. I’ve never made an accordian card. Have to try it sometime.

    Swedie

  336. Julia Carter says:

I have made an accordian album before, a larger one, and a few smaller ones that were used on a layout to house extra journaling. I think they are a really fun thing 🙂

  337. Gloria Dojlido says:

Wow, what a beautiful card Sharon. I would love to win the score-pal as that is one thing I do not have yet.

I have not made an accordian style card before…but I will have to give it a try.
    Thanks for the inspiration.

    Gloria

  338. Debby says:

I have made several accordian tag books. They are really fun to make. Thanks for the chance on the blog candy I would love to win this it would help make my card making so much easier.
    Angel hugs
    Debby

  339. SueB says:

I recently made an accordian folder from a regular office supply manilla folder, folding up the bottom about a third of the way, forming a pocket. Not a card, but an organizer folder!
Thanx for the t’riffic celebration and chance at the blog candy again this year!

  340. Michelle says:

I made an accordian Christmas card and love how it came out.
Thanks for offering up some yummy blog candy!

  341. Alyssa says:

What a fantastic card! I have not made an accordian card. I ordered a ScorPal some time ago, and when it didn’t come for over a month, I canceled the order. You know, save money and what not…guess I’ll be ordering myself one soon! :o)

  342. Kathyc on SCS says:

Hi Sharon, I’ve tried making accordian cards before but they never come out as crisp and perfect as yours do! I think I’m too impatient when measuring; I’ll have to give it another try after seeing this amazing 4-season card of yours; truly, truly beautiful!
Congratulations and thanks for sharing, as always!
    Kathy

  343. Joann says:

I have never made an accordian card before…why? Because I always seem to be just a smidge off in my scoring! I even have a box of tins just WAITING to hold little accordian albums 🙂

I love Marcos and I’m always finding something new, no matter how often I’ve shopped there. I’m off to buy some of that long paper so it can hang out with my tins LOL I bet that would be great to use in my Wishblade to make banners with…I can justify anything!

    Thanks for a great idea

  344. This project is beautiful. I really adore it. I have made two accordion albums. They are perfect gifts for grandparents and spouses. I just love how much time you get to look through pictures and think of the person you are making it for.
    k

  345. Christine Ray says:

    Dear Sharon,

I’ve never had the chance to do an accordian card before. You make it look so simple – I’ll have to try one soon! Thank you for the opportunity to win some blog candy!
    Blessings,
    Chris

  346. allstampedup says:

I have never made an accordion craft but want to! I recently saw one that spelled out Merry Christmas with one letter on each card and I loved it.
I don’t have a Scor-It and really want one. If I don’t get the blog candy, maybe I should ask Santa for one!

  347. Momma Linda says:

Nope, but the right tool makes everything easier. Gorgeous seasonal trees to display all year.

  348. Pat M says:

I hope I am not posting a second comment, I lost my first one, and I do not see it listed above so I think I am okay. I love your accordian card!
I have never personally made an accordian card, but I was so inspired by your Christmas accordian card a few days ago that it is on my list to try.
Your holder was also a great idea for sharing the card with someone! I have never seen the Marco’s paper before but I imagine it would make an accordian card easier to make. And of course a score-it would be a necessity. Thank you for the opportunity to win.

  349. Sharon- that is a beautiful card. I have never made one myself, but after looking at yours, I will make sure it is at the top of my list of things that must be done soon. I appreciate the opportunity to win the score-it – I don’t have one and know that it would be so helpful. Have a great evening. Janet

  350. Hilda says:

I’ve never made an accordion card, but would love to try one.
Yours are great, and an inspiration as usual. Thanks for the chance to win a Scor-It… it’s been on my wish list!

  351. Beautiful! I haven’t made an accordian style one, but I’ve made a squash book, that also has a lot of folds. This would be so awesome to win!

  352. cynthia says:

Wow I love your accordian and no I have never made one but I’m gonna give it a try!
    Cynthia

  353. Chris R. from Iowa says:

Boy, one would think I do not have any stamping stuff – I don’t have the Scor-It and not experienced Marco’s papers either. But, I do have the tree stamps you used! In total awe of what you have done with them. I have not had them out of the box though! I have made an acordian album at a Close to My Heart class. it was a lot of fun and turned out pretty good. I could see the Scor-It coming in handier than me trying to do it the way we did. I think we also made an acordian card in my Stampin Up group too. Anyway, I just loved your trees – just gorgeous! Thanks for a chance to win more goodies. Now, I gotta go check out those paper! Thanks so much for sharing!

  354. Char- D says:

I have made an accordion album, but never even thought about making a card. Thanks for the idea.

  355. Carol B says:

I made a gorgeous accordian tag as a sympathy card for my nieces when their beloved yellow lab died. I used the “Rainbow Bridge” story in the interior and used a Jolee’s yellow lab on the front. Turned out really nice.

  356. Julie B says:

I have always been afraid to make an accordian card, but your tutorial makes it look easy, especially with the Scor-It! I am very, very impressed with the embossing you have done on this card. I think it’s the most impressive embossing I’ve ever seen, particularly because of the different colors used. This card inspires me to make an accordian card and emboss more. Thanks for sharing it.

  357. Desiree says:

Your card is so pretty! I’ve made an accordian card before, but it’s been a long time!

  358. luvcreatincards 'n keepsakes says:

I have made a couple of little accordian tag card books so that the tags slip inside the little pockets made in the accordian card base. I gave then to friends as birthday cards. THey were very well received and what was so lovely was that I was able to personalise the tags for each recipient. Thank you for sharing such lovely ideas and techniques through you blog. It’s alway such a treat to see what goodies will be covered each time I visit.
    Warmest best wishes
    Su

  359. Louise L. says:

I have purchased the paper from Marco Paper to do an accordion card, but I have not attempted it yet. Thank-you for the tutorial. Would love to win the scor-it

  360. I have never ever made an accordion card before but would love the chance to try one. No scor-it here either. 🙁 Thanks for a chance to win.

  361. carolh says:

No I have never made an accordian card.. It looks easy with the scor-it and the card you made is super cool.. I like everything about it..

  362. LisaC says:

I LOVE accordian cards! I’ve only made a few and the ones I’ve made were using the letters of a person’s name – one letter per panel about the size of the card. I think they come out pretty cool!

  363. Charmaine says:

I have made an accordian album before…several actually…I think I was going through a phase! This was ages ago…probably 15 years at least. One album I made was for a friend after visiting her and her family. I had taken tons of photos of her kids…so as a thank you…I put together a small accordian album…using strips from 8.5 x 11 paper…it took me a while to get it the size I wanted…it turned out great. Wish I’d had this longer paper back then. And would sure love to win some!

    Thanks!
    Charmaine

  364. Pat S. says:

Thanks so much for a chance to win some blog candy. This is my first visit to your blog and really LOVE all the work you have done. Can’t wait to see more!

    🙂

  371. Jan says:

What a lovely, simple card! I have made an accordian card before–a Valentine for my husband I put in an Altoid tin. It was fun to do and I really should make more. Perhaps you’ve inspired me!

  372. cards4u says:

Sorry to say I have never made one -looks like fun! I guess I have something to add to my Need To Try List! Thanks for the inspiration and the chance to play!

  373. Cheryl Johnson says:

I’ve never made an accordian card or album but the thought of doing one is very intriguing with paper this long. I didn’t know they made such. Thanks for the tip and the chance to win it.

  374. Janey says:

Love your accordian card. What a great way to use the stamp set Lovely as A Tree. The colors are fantastic. Thanks for the chance at the blog candy.

  375. Charlene H. says:

That is such neat paper – I love it! I did make an accordian book – but only once. One of my co-workers was leaving and we got together one night for a good-bye party. We each had our pictures taken with her and then we decorated a page in the book with the pictures. It was like a mini photo album. She loved it and it was sure a lot of fun.

  376. I have made accordian mini-albums that fit into tins – cute and compact, and they work for the paper sizes I have on hand, but not any using the larger paper. Yours are all very beautiful.

  377. Nadine Papove says:

I have never made an accordian album but will make one now. I never realized you could get this paper. I especially love how you embossed the trees they are absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for the information and the opportunity to win this great candy.

  378. Allison F says:

    Kathy

  380. DEE says:

    Hi,
    Your card is gorgeous.
I have made a few accordian cards.
I made one w/ baby photos and antique toy images to decorate. I scanned some fabric w/ the antique toys to get the images.
    Praying I win!

  381. pam (pammy jo) says:

my sister makes sweet little accordian albums and i always think i should make some because they are so cute, but alas…someday 🙂 what fabulous candy – i have to get a scor-it sometime…congrats on the hits, too 🙂

i have made a simple little paper accordion book for a birthday card. i did enjoy it and look forward to making a more complex collaged accordion book after the holiday rush.

  383. Stephanie Sheridan says:

The card looks like alot of fun to make. SO many ideas floating in the head and the Sugar Plums hidding inside alos. Thank you for the chance.

  384. Sharon says:

I have made one accordian card before. It looked like a regular sized card outside, with the thinner folds inside. Small quotes were stamped on 1″ squares and these were glued to the folds, like tabs. I forget now where I saw the instructions, but these cards are neat to do.

Your card is beautiful with the SU trees set, and I like how you embossed them with different colours.

The Marco’s long paper would be ideal for accordian cards. You could get a lot of folds depending on how it is scored.

    Sharon

  385. Julia Carter says:

Yes, I have, I like accordian almums, cards, ect..because you can fit so much into such a small space!

    Julia

  386. Angie B says:

I just love the color combination and the balance in your cards. I have never made an accordian album/card but after seeing yours I sure would love to try. If I did win I would only require shipping to California and not to Australia… we do not have these scoring tools readily available over here so it would be an early Christmas present if I did win.
Fingers and toes crossed, here’s hoping,
    Angie 🙂

  387. Ann says:

I’ve never made an accordian card or album before, but it looks like such fun that I want to try it. Thanks for your wonderful ideas. Ann

  390. linda says:

Wow … just love the accordian tutorial … thanks for introducing me to this.

  391. Alana M says:

I can’t remember making one…I’d love to but finding long enough paper is difficult. I hate wasting paper, and often times, you have to “waste” an entire flap by putting it behind the previous one, if you want to create a nice long book. Where do you buy your 25″ paper??

I’ve never used a Scor It, either.

They do look lovely and wonderful! I love your glitter on top of the embossing powder technique…very cool!

  392. Rhonda K says:

No, I have not made a accordion card before. You make look so easy. I might try one day.

  393. Susan Rothbauer says:

I have made some little accordian photo albums so why have I never thought to do a card like that? Love the seasons! Guess I’ll have to try something new 🙂

  394. Mary B says:

I’ve never made an accordian project, but your directions are so simple that I’ll have to try – Beautiful project! Thanks for the chance to win.

  395. Lynn L says:

I’ve attempted an accordian card before, but the 25″ cardstock and Scor-it would make it so much easier!

  396. Nancy says:

Love your card! I made accordian cards for my daughter and niece for their graduations. They were really fun to make

  397. mary grace says:

I have never made an accordian card but after looking at your beautiful design I may have to try making one Thank you so much for sharing-Mary Grace

  398. Tracy says:

Fantastic! I’ve never made an accordian card before. I tried it one by gluing the standard size paper together and I didn’t like the added bulk and weight of the glued sections….so the extra long cardstock would be perfect! Stamper with OCD…its not as fun, sometimes Ü Love the tutorial!

  399. Laura says:

I love the double embossing technique and can hardly wait to try it! I’ve added Marco’s to my favorites; I hadn’t heard of them before. Thanks for sharing your techniques!

  400. Sheila D says:

What a fantastic project. I love the emossing. Amazing how different colored embossing powders make the same stamp a different season. I’ve never made an accordian card, book or tag. This is so pretty that I’m definitely casing this. (If you don’t mind)

  401. carol boire says:

Really really really beautiful cards, thank you so much for sharing all these wonderful ideas. Carol

  402. […] Today we have from Marco’s Paper 15 sheets of the Accordion Cardstock that I used on this post the other day.  It is 5.5″ x 25″ and makes doing accordion projects so easy.  We also […]
