Mistletoe Tent Topper

Published by at 10 34 pm under Inkadinkado,Kitchen Sink Stamps

Here’s another quick card for Christmas. This was quick for me because I used an image I had stamped last summer. In all honesty, this stamped imagewas discarded last summer and notused as it wasn’t *good enough* — but, well, all of a sudden today, when push comes to shove, it looked pretty darn good to me –LOL!!! Funny how that works!!! It just goes to show, everything we do doesn’t have to be perfect. We’re making cards, and though they are truly works of art to us as we create them, and we want to go a good job, what we view as imperfections for the most part go totally unnoticed by the recipient. So let’s not fuss over perfection, and let’s just make a card that will delight the recipient!!! Here’s mine for today.

My image is the beautiful Holly and Mistletoe by Kitchen Sink Stamps. As I said it was prestamped and cut into an oval, so today I decided use it on a tent topper style card. My card base is 4 1/4″ square. Once having the image done, you can see just how quick this was to put together! I added glitter to themistletoe as well as to the Merry Christmas. It looks very pretty and sparkly IRL!

  1. Sharon it’s gorgeous! I just told my daughter tonight (after she had a tough day…) that perfectionism is a disease! That God has called us to be ourselves…no extras needing to be added.

So…I think this is fabulous…and I’m glad it waited there for you till this moment to create something wonderful…and remind everyone else that the joy is in the creating and giving! How much that will bless someone!

    Have a great night!

Beautiful card, as usual, Sharon…I, too, realized that not everyone is going to be judging our work as harshly as we do. Thankfully!!

All I want for Christmas is a healthy dose of your creativity and skill. If you’re bottling it, I want to be first on the list.

Knee deep in cookie dough…17 kinds this year so no cardmaking for a bit. 🙁
