Published by at 9 27 pm under Challenges,Copics,General Purpose Cards,MFT

MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!!! I’m postingFriday’s Challenge abitearlier than normal tonight. The Stamp Simply Crew will be uploading their projects as they get done — some tonight and some tomorrow — so please check the links again later if you’re not seeing the challenge card tonight. Thanks!

Keyword ssnotime67 -There is no time limit. You can play this challenge and upload yourproject at Splitcoastand/or your Blog, anytime at all! You (and that means anyone and everyone, blogger or not!)can play as many times as you like!!! The point is to keep it simple, quick and have fun!!! Please link back here.

In the hopes that some of you may have gotten some new stamping supplies for Christmas, today’s challenge is to make a card using some of your NEW TOYS! If you didn’t get anything new for Christmas, just use the newest thing youhave — whether it be stamps, paper, tools, embellishments — whatever — just use your newest things!!! And be sure to tell us what you got new that you are using!!! No other rules – that’s it!!! Have fun, and keep it simple if you can!!!

Some great samples for the Stamp Simply Challenge today can be seen on these blogs:Julie, Janine, Jennifer, Tammy, Dee, Becky, AJ,and LeAnne.

You can see all Gallery Submissions here.

What wonderful samples!!! Thank you girls!!! Much appreciated!!!

Heres myproject for todays challenge:

The new item I used on this card is this adorable bathtub image, Chill Out, by Annie LaPointe, an MFT stamp, that I got from Stampers Dream (remember, I told you I got quite a few new stamps to share!!!) I just LOVE these adorable bathtub images!!! This is just a quick little card with the image being popped up for effect, and it’s popped up quite a bit with some thicker dimensional products. Not so good for mailing, but I do love the effect. It makes the little image appear more like a piece of art hanging on a wall!!!

chill-out-copics420.jpg

Stamps: Chill Out by MFT from Stampers Dream

Paper: PTI White, SU Basic Gray, SU Uptown DP

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics, White Gelly Roll Pen

Accessories: White Satin Ribbon, Dimensional Products (unknown maker)

I know everyone is busy with family, children and holiday plans, but if you have time to play, we’d LOVE to have you join us and show us some of your NEW TOYS!!!

ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY, EVERYONE!!!

  1. Beautiful, Sharon! 🙂 I hope you are doing well and that you had a wonderful Christmas! 🙂 Take care! Hugs!

  2. Sharon, this is awesome! I love how clean and crisp your design is, and the colors! (I had loaned ALL my Annie LaPointe stamps to a friend, and got them back recently but with all the Christmas stuff lately I haven’t had time to use them again… this makes me want to go stamp some more before going to bed!)

Hi Sharon, we had a really nice Christmas at my sisters and I am now ready to get back into regular mode.

My sister got me the classic rectangle Nestabilities and the tan embossing mat for Christmas. I am planning to use them with my Cuttlebug when I find the instructions on how to use them. I looked in your Dry Embossing Archives but didn’t find what I was looking for. Do you know the address for info on using them in other machines besides the Wizard? I didn’t see anything on Spellbinders site unless I overlooked it. I will keep looking as I await your reply. Thanks so much for your help and really enjoy your blog!

My dh bought me a Big Shot for Christmas, but it was delayed in shipping, so I just got it yesterday. I played all day today, and this is the card I came up with http://tamarastamps.blogspot.com/2009/01/dies-and-dies-and-dies-oh-my.html no stamping at all, so strange for me.

Whoo Hoo, I received my blog candy Obsession Impression, Charming Gardeners stamp set yesterday. Julie Koerber so generously had this stamp set as part of her blog candy during your 12 day Celebration. The set is the perfect flower set. I can’t wait to create more cards with this set. My 1st creation is Leslie’s Easy gift box and an ATC tag for Cambria, whose birthday is this week. The “pink” box is filled with fudge. We have our demo meeting tomorrow….Cami will love it 🙂 Enjoy, Nancy
