Green Tea Blackbird

Published by at 11 26 pm under General Purpose Cards,Wordsworth

I made a quick and simple Thinking of You card tonight for the Featured Stamper Challenge at SCS. Today’s featured stamper is jaydekay. Judy’s gallery is wonderful and this is the card I chose to case. I took the basic layout and changed all else.

Judy stamped her background image, while I used designer paper. Judy’s main image was a heart, while I went simple and used a rectangular panel. In keeping with my quick and simple theme, I kept my color scheme to black, white and DP, my ink and ribbon to black, and for a bit of interest I rounded corners and used some tiny pure white pearls. I’ve been wanting pure white pearls for the longest time, and finally got them from Joan’s Garden. This beautiful stamp, Heart Sing by Rubber Soul, came from Stampers Dream. This card is large at 7.75 x 5.25″. I was given a large stack of white envelopes to fit this size card and I really like them. I will be looking for a source to purchase some more. I love having a bit more room to work with when using larger images!!!

Stamps: Heart Sing byRubber Soulfrom Stampers Dream

Paper: White, Black, Green Tea DP by SU

Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black

Accessories: Black Sheer Ribbon, SU Corner Rounder, Kaiser Pearls, Glue Runner (also from Joan’s Garden), Scor-It.

Thank you so much for stopping in again. I hope you’re having a great weekend. I am going to start on some Valentine Projects and I’ll have them up for you all through this coming week, so I hope you can stop in then!!! Thanks!!!

Pretty paper and a great looking set! I love the impact of the black and how the paper becomes part of the scene. That’s a big card, too! I know how you love big! I’ve bought envelopes this size at Wal-Mart, but they’re just regular envelopes — not real pretty.
