Parisian Friends 24-7

Once again I find myself apologizing for lack of posts of recent. We’ve had a rough3 weeks, including two out of town medical trips which were a bit stressful, the death/funeral of a close uncle, the entire household coming down with the stomach flu, and now I have a horrendous head cold! I was too sick to do anything else tonight, so I thought I could sit quietly and play the Featured Stamper challenge at SCS. Today’s Featured Stamper is Karen Dunbrook (great gallery), and this is her card that I chose to case today. Oh, and to top it off, my camera battery went dead after my first 2 shots, so I’m stuck with a not so great photo — it was this or nothing tonight — so sorry!

As you can see, I followed the exact layout and included the machine stitches, but changed the colors, papers and images. I used my new Parisian Breeze Specialty Paper from SU and my new set, Friends 24-7! I really like the Specialty Paper — it’s nice and thick and has a great texture, which I always like! As for the machine sewing, I used zig zig, blanket and meandering straight stitches.

My hearts are Nestability die cuts, the button is a vintage coat button and the ribbon is SU Taffeta. I also used the Long Rectangle Nesties to cut my sentiment.

That’s it for tonight — I’m going to keep it short and hit the hay, or at least the Lazy-Boy!!! Hope you are all feeling well, enjoying your winter and getting in some fun stamping time!!! Hope to be back real soon!!! Thanks for stopping in!!!
