Cheery Gingham Bouquet

Published by at 1 23 am under General Purpose Cards,Memory Box

A cheerful card to brighten someone’s day – a card you’d most likely want to hand deliver, perhaps when you are making a hospital visit or just dropping in on a friend with aplate of cookies. It’s also a non-traditional size at 7″ x 4″. I wanted to play the Featured Stamper Challengetoday over at SCS, and I jumped for joy to see that my friend Stacy (Twinshappy) was today’s Featured Stamper!!! She has a HUGE gallery — WOW!! This is her card that I cased, setting me on the path of the tall and narrow format. And here’s my result:

Well, this may be a stretch from Stacy’s card — but not really if you look. Same format, one rectangular focal image, I switched the simple sentiment from bottom to top, and the ribbon treatment from top to bottom, but then that’s were I went a bit wild — LOL!!! I just got a ton of this 1.5″ wide gingham in many colors and SO wanted to play with it today! I made a *faux bow* so there isn’t a knot underneath, making it easy to glue my Primas on with glue dots. Very simply, I sewed my ribbon down, and I’ll show you in a few days. I forgot to take a pic as I was going along tonight — sorry. But it was *sew* simple and fun!!! My trio of buttons are on with glue dots.

Just a closer look. I have this ribbon for salein the TAB above my Blog header, and I’m loving my new Primas I picked up at Michaels. All my buttons are from Wal-Mart. Just used a needle and regular thread in my buttons. My image was Copic colored some time ago, so I’m not sure of the colors, sorry!
