Stamp Simply #80 – Let’s Forget the Rules!
Keyword ssnotime80 -There is no time limit. You can play this challenge and upload yourproject at Splitcoastand/or your Blog, anytime at all! You (and that means anyone and everyone, blogger or not!)can play as many times as you like!!! The point is to keep it simple, quick and have fun!!! Please link back here.
Let’s Forget the Rules! Do you remember when we were kids (at least when I was a kid!!) we were taught not to mix patterns when we dress ourselves. I guess styles must have been rather bland back then — LOL!!! We would never wear a plaid skirt (remember those red wool plaid skirts?) with a printed blouse, or a striped jumper with a polka dotted blouse. We just DID NOT do it back then!!! Oh, but look at the fun we have today with patterned paper — Mix and Match — anything goes!!! And I love it!!! So today we are going to use EITHER stripes or dots and mix them with any other print or pattern you so desire! Or use the stripes and dots together if you like. You may use patterned paper or you may stamp your prints/patterns. Just make sure you use EITHER stripes or dots, or both!!! I LOVE both stripes and dots. And today you get bonus points if you can use 3 different prints together!!! Forget those old rules, let loose and have fun!!!
Check out the greatsamples for the Stamp Simply Challenge today on the blogs of these designers:
Please bear with us as we are all uploading and linking on Thursday night.
You can see all Gallery Submissions here.
What wonderful samples!!! Thank you girls!!! Much appreciated!!!
Heres my card for today where I combined 3 different prints:
I can never second guess the DT girls or any of the challenge players, but today if I had to guess, my guess would be that we’d get some cards a bit on the wild side with pattern and color — time will tell!!! So, with that thought in mind, I intentionally went mellow, combining both stripes and dots from the So Saffron Prints DP pack by SU. I then added a gingham check to the mix with 7/8″ wide May Arts gingham from My Ribbon Saleabove. In all honesty, this matched much better in the hollows of my basement stamp room tonight – and it nowlooks totally different under the bright lights of my photo tent — oh well, that happens – LOL!!! I still like it!!! This gingham is so soft, silky and pliable — I just love it!!! LOVE touching it!!! My image is Copic colored and I’m liking the combination of So Saffron and Pink Pirouette. Just a simple card – hope you like it!
Stamps: Both by SU: Friends 24-7 for image; Birds on a Branch for sentiment
Paper: SU: White, Pink Pirouette, So Saffron c/s and Prints DP

Sharon, I love this card!!!! The colors and patterns are beautiful and the simplicity is my kind of look. Your ribbon really sets it off and pulls everything together. You did a great job using your Copic markers too.

Sharon, this challenge brings back so many memories of dressing for school as a child! LOL We had to be so careful to match every article of clothing! How things change:)

This was such a fun challenge! I loved seeing some of the cards it generated. This one is so pretty, Sharon! Love the soft color. It’s a subtle mix of patterns, so well put together that I hardly notice their differences. Of course, I absolutely love mixing things up!
