Blue Awning Blessings

Published by at 7 22 pm under General Purpose Cards,Rubber Soul

I was in the mood to make something *pretty* tonight, so I pulled out my Blue Awning paper and it’s coordinating stickers– and *pretty* was right before my eyes! I then went seeking theWeekend Sketch Challenge for this week and found it at Mary Jo’s fabulous blog. A wonderful sketch and it worked so well with what I had in mind to do today. LOVE when that works out. Here’s my card:

It was JUST what I was in the mood for! As you can see, I really didn’t stamp much — just the sentiment again — gee, I’ve been doing thata lot lately!!! This beautiful Birthday Blessings sentiment I got from Stamper’s Dream has become my VERY favorite for birthday cards. It’s just so beautiful and large enough to serve as a main image, allowing me to *just play with pretty things*, and I LOVE to do that!!! This is a fairly large card measuring 5.25 x 7.5″. I’m loving this size! Using more of my 1.5″ SILK ribbon by May Arts. I just can’t stop telling you how LUSH it is, how featherweight and how beautifully it ties!!!

I got all these K & Co products from Michaels. I used the Grand Adhesions stickers on this card. See how absolutely gorgeous they are? And talk about fun and easy to use!!! Can’t beat them!!! Peel and stick.

For this corner I used a corner flourish die from my new set by Spellbinders called Flourish Accents. I cut and embossed it in my Cuttlebug, ran it through my Xyron X to make it sticky-backed, adhered it to my card and then applied another sticker from the Grand Adhesions pack on top (the flower). Again, VERY little effort, fabulous impact!

Here’s the inside. Another die cut from the same Flourish Accents dies by Spellbinders.

    Sharon,
Don;t ya just love Blue Awning? I am stingy when it comes to this paper. I won’t send a card to anyone who, I think, will just toss it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful card.
