Flower Soft Joy!
I needed my fix again — it’s been a while! I wanted simple and pretty and, of course, I wanted quick. This card is only 4″ wide because that’s how wide this piece of blue dotted Crate paper was, so I cut my card down to fit it. And the black mat is a 3″ square that was also in my scrap pile — I figured it would work just fine! I do like the look of only a partial mat. Gives the piece a bit more of a contemporary look.
My ribbon is Celery 1.25″ Silk, the bow is made with the Bow Easy, and my flowers (love these flowers, they’re from an older Gina K set) are all dressed up with 3 colors of Flower Soft. They are stamped in black ink and then I applied each color separately, adding just tiny dabs of glue with a toothpick. This image was just perfect for an application of Flower Soft.
This floral image is made up of many tiny star shapes. I randomly applied first Baby Blue Flower Soft, then Delphinium Blue (LOVE this color) and then Sunshine Yellow for a bit of POP. It only took a couple minutes and the results are just stunning — really makes the image come to life!
Stamps: Make a Wish by Gina K
Paper: PTI White, SU Black, Crate Brunch DP
Ink: Versa Fine Onyx Black, Color Box Chalk Azurite
Accessories: Flower Soft, May Arts Silk Ribbon, Bow Easy, Spellbinders Classic Rectangle and Tags Trio Dies, Needle, Thread, Button, Aleene’s Fast Grab Tacky Glue, Foam Mounting Tape, Glue Glider
So glad you stopped in today again — truly appreciate it when you visit. I will be back on Thursday evening with our weekly Stamp Simply Challenge for this week. And WOW, have we had it HOT. That’s tough on us Northerner’s when we get up into the 90’s with humidity — about enough to do me in!!! Never happy — first too cold, then too hot — such is life!!! LOL!!! And now we could sure use some rain! I did get my porch all ready and set for summer and my porch baskets are blooming nicely — so pleasant to sit there and rock with an ice tea! Wishing you all pleasant summer days as well! See you soon!

Sharon, this card is BEAUTIFUL!!!
Sharon — that flower soft brings those flowers to life and makes them pop right off the paper — just lovely!!! And the bow is perfection!!
Okay Sharon, what steals the show for me is that gorgeous silk ribbon against that fabulous dotted Crate Paper. Oh my gosh I love this card! Your flowers match your paper, how well designed this is! You’re a design genius!
Stunning–my fav colors used–very beautiful. I so admire your talent!
Very pretty, Sharon! The flower soft in blue and yellow really brightens the card!
Smiles,
Deena
So beautiful and soft with your flower soft and elegant layout. How fun to use so many scraps too. TFS
Ok, now I just have to go buy some Flower Soft! I am so busy buying tools etc. I seem to never have enough time to actually sit down and make a card. I do not have this stamp but I do have a dandelion one that looks almost identical…with a bit of Flower Soft on it…who will know the difference!
Another gorgeous card, Sharon.
Beautiful card! I think I’m loving the CAS cards the best of them all.
Great card Sharon! I love your colors and I just love what the Flower Soft does for the card. And, your design is just perfect too!

Amazing card, Sharon. All the elements are perfect!
Very pretty!
Sharon, this is absolutely gorgeous. As always a beautiful card from you.
I may just have to get some more of that flower soft after seeing this card. Barb

So pretty Sharon and those flowers look gorgeous.
What a gorgeous card! I’d never heard of “Flower Soft” before.
This is so lovely. I love the colors you choose. And the partial mat is something I should try with all the scraps I have. Need to use my flower soft I ordered!
As always, just lovely! Love the look of that partial mat also and that big, beautiful bow!
Beautiful card Sharon – just a splendid summer delight with the flowersoft and pretty image!
Greetings from Buffalo, NY! This is another awesome card Sharon! Thanks for sharing your talent and inspiration with us…and thanks also for sharing the sizes of your paper pieces. Some times the sizes are deceiving in the photos. debbie
Sharon, this is simply gorgeous! I love that partial mat and the Flower Soft really brings those flowers to life. And that bow–scrumptious!!!
Love the card. I do half mats a lot when my goal is to work out of my scrap pile! I feel a little victorious when I use a piece of scrap paper.
I love this card. I love the style and grace of all you cards. They are so beautiful! I received my bow easy but have not had a chance to try it out. I hope to this weekend. If I can make a bow like yours, I will be thrilled!
Gorgeous card, Sharon- the flower soft is so pretty on this image. You truly are the bow queen- that’s a beauty! It has been WAY too hot in Houston for June- over 98 degrees for over 2 weeks now, and many days over 100-ugh! Summer doesn’t end here until mid-late October so it’s going to be a long one this year! ENjoy your porch breezes for me!
Really Stunning card. Love the colors and how pretty the flower soft looks on your flowers.
Love your card Sharon! It is so summery. Our weather up here in Ontario Canada is also stifling. As long as I stay in the a/c I’ll be fine . TFS! Sheila
