Stamp Simply #98 – Lovely Lace

Keyword ssnotime98 – There is no time limit. You can play this challenge and upload your project at Splitcoast and/or your Blog, anytime at all. You (and that means anyone and everyone, blogger or not!) can play as many times as you like!!! The point is to keep it simple, quick and have fun!!! Please link back here.

Lovely Lace – I have always loved lace — nothing is so pretty and delicate and it adds such a charming touch to a card.  Today’s challenge is to incorporate lace into your work.  It can be real lace, punched lace, stamped lace, sticker lace — anything at all – as long as we have lace to grace our creation!  That’s it – have fun!!!

Check out the great samples for the Stamp Simply Challenge today on the blogs of these designers:

Please bear with us as we are all uploading and linking on Thursday night. Everyone should be uploaded by Friday morning.

You can see all Gallery Submissions here. Thanks, girls!

And here is my lacey creation for today:

A super simple creation for the Stamp Simply Challenge!  My stamping was minimal — just the fun and very pretty *What’s New* sentiment from Tiny Words by JustRite, cut and matted using my Petite Circle Nesties by Spellbinders.  My beautiful image is from Birds and Botanicals Journal Notes.  The image was the upper half of the sheet and the BIRDS was the lower half of the sheet.  Here’s a closeup of the lace and other embellishments:

The lace is vintage from my stash, and under it is the 7/8″Gingham Checks by May Arts.  The stick pin is merely a very inexpensive corsage pin with a scrap of Burgundy 1.25″ Silk Ribbon tied on it.  And I’m loving all my new buttons — and I have plenty stocked up in the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, Page 3.  These are the buttons by Rusty Pickle that come in the adorable little glass jars with latching lids — so fun, and so many buttons in each jar — I’m really loving them!  They are sewn to the black panel with the 100% Jute String in black.  I just used a large eyed needle and it was really quick and easy.

I’m so glad you stopped in today and I hope you have time to play if you can!  I’ve got a busy weekend.  Friday morning I have some out of town blogging friends coming over for lunch.  Then Friday afternoon our Stamping in the UP of Michigan event begins and runs through Saturday early evening.  I can’t wait — it will all be fun.  I’ll be sure to share some pictures of your Blogland friends on Sunday.  Have a wonderful weekend everyone!  Thanks for stopping in!
