Cast-a-Spell with Class

Published by at 11 54 pm under Copics,Halloween Cards,JustRite Products

Total class!  That’s just what I thought the moment I saw this years Halloween DP by SU — LOVED it, in a big way!!!!  Today is my first use of it and I’m just as happy as I thought I’d be — take a look:

An easy card, nothing hard, nothing fancy — simple layout, small focal point layered up – but I think it packs a punch!  It’s that FAB DP paired with the Black Silk Ribbon — LOVE it!!!  And how about that darling little pumpkin image — oh my gosh!  I didn’t realize till I’m sitting here looking at my monitor – I forgot to color his leaves and stem — OH, I do this way too often — they say the mind is the first to go — case in point!!!  OH well, I’ll color them later, and just leave this picture as it is — life’s too short,  good enough for now– LOL!!! Anyway, I was saying – darling little pumpkin image!!!  He’s one of  10 centers in a JustRite Special Edition Halloween set called Witch Way to the Treats — fun set with these little images and borders that are made to be used with the smallest of the JustRite Round Stampers — 1 3/16″.  I’m really loving this size as well as all the sets that go with it — this size is so very usable in such a variety of applications.

Just a close up of the focal image.  The pumpkin is Copic colored and I used my Petitie Circle Nesties to cut and mat him.  Those are then layered on top of some layered ovals done with my Petite Oval Nesties.  Added some buttons and we have a fun focal point.

I’m happy to say that today I am adding the 4 packs of Petite Circle Nestabilites, Petite Oval Nestabilities and Classic Oval Nestabilities to the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, Page 2 Tools.  I love these products and use them daily, so thought I’d like to offer them here along with my other must have and favorite items.

Beautiful card Sharon! I love the paper and the image is darling, even without his leaves!
I had always been under the impression that the really wide ribbons were to big for cards,Until recently! I have seen designers using them more and more and they are gorgeous! This one is no exception!
Of course you have an in with an excellent source for ribbon! LOL 🙂

Thank you for sharing your artwork with us!

I love all your cards. You inspire me. I would not have noticed the leaves if you did not mention it! LOL! I agree with Mary, I never bought the wide ribbonds because I thought they were to big for cards, but you make it look stunning every single time!

Gorgeous! Love your papers; Halloween should be ghoulishly elegant 🙂

  6. Joanne says:

How do you tie that bow??

  7. Colleen Horner says:

Sharon, can I tell Joanne how you tied the bow???

Joanne it is with Sharon’s smooth, supple May Art silk ribbon and the Bow Easy!!!

I mean it is no surprise that Sharon can do it but the real kicker is that I can do it too with those products. The ribbon is to die for and with the Jerri’s tutorial it is as easy.

Card is adorable. I do not usually send for Halloween but I may have to change my ways.
