Last Minute Gift Ideas/JustRite Blog Hop

Published by at 8 57 am under Bow Easy,Gift Sets,JustRite Products

What a fun Blog Hop for this time of year!  I think last minute gift ideas are what we all need about now.  I can’t wait to see what everyone does!!!  I did something really quick and simple.  I purchased 3 coordinating items from the $ Bin at Michaels and altered them to create a personalized gift using my new 2″ Deluxe Round Monogram Kit by JustRite.  You could truly recreate this entire gift ensemble in 30 minutes or less.  Here’s what I started with:

I instantly loved these when I saw them in the $ Bin.  I thought they were so pretty as is, but I also knew they’d be perfect to alter and personalize.  Here’s the finished ensemble:

A simple, gold embossed, one layer monogram using my 2″ Deluxe Round Monogram Kit and a bit of 1/4″ wide Silk Ribbon is all it took.  The monogram is one layer, cut with a Circle Nestability by Spellbinders.  Super quick.  They are then just adhered on top of an ornament.

This is the journal.  Aren’t the colors just beautiful.  This was such a great find to bring home to alter.

Here’s a closer view of the gold embossed monogram and the ribbon.  I used the Bow Easy to make this double bow of Christmas Green Silk Ribbon.  I used red sticky strip to adhere the strip of ribbon down and Aleene’s Fast Grab Tacky Glue to adhere the bow onto the Journal.

Here’s the top of the magnetic notepad.  I had to remove the magnet from the back (it peeled off very easily) and put it back on after altering.  I used the same monogram as on the other pieces but had to make something to attach it to as I needed to keep the pad itself totally functional.  I used my very largest Circle Nestie for the SU Real Red Circle.  Then I ran that circle through the Cuttlebug with an embossing folder so it would mimic the look of the ornaments.  I then backed it with an SU Orchid Opulence Petite Circle  Nestie Scallop.  That gave me something to adhere the monogram to.  This was a super quick topper for the notepad.

And here’s the card to give with the Journal and Notepad.  I used Antique Gold Silk Ribbon on this one.  I did make my bows on the Bow Easy, but then I tried to pull them apart in a fashion to resemble the shape of the bows on the cards.  And out of these 3 $ Bin items, I’m still getting another gift!  I only used 1 card.  There were 8 in the package, leaving me 7.  I see a set of 6 monogrammed cards being quickly made up here — just didn’t get to it today!  So that’s 2 personalized gifts for $3 — you just can’t beat that!

This is a visual of the product I used to create my fun and easy monograms today.  I used the NEW (November release) 2″ Deluxe Round Monogram Kit by JustRite Stampers.  I LOVE the kits they offer – they are complete and ready to go!  They include the stamper, font and borders.  All you need is paper and ink and you are ready to create some lovely things!!!  And with Christmas in the air and shopping to be done, these kits are a PERFECT gift to give a stamping friend or family member — that would truly be a perfect last minute gift idea that you don’t even have to make — LOL!!!

Now, let’s get busy and check out all the other designers playing along today and see what they’ve all come up with — I can’t wait to see!!!
