trio-480-428-notime.jpg

When I first saw the die templates I was asked to work with, I instantly saw a beautiful framework for the monogram projects I so love to do.  The S4-248 Labels 13 Die Templates worked beautifully with my monograms on this trio of cards.

detail-horiz-320-263-notime.jpg

And as a total bonus, these die templates can be used either vertically or horizontally with equally lovely results, adding a bit of variety to a gift set of cards.  Above you can see the die template was used horizontally.

detail-vert-320-309-notime.jpg

And on this card the same die template was used vertically. To give a nice finish to the edges of my die cut frames, I used a silver leafing pen to outline them.  It was very easy to run my leafing pen around these graceful curves, giving them a nice finished appearance.

paper-400-276-notime.jpg

This trio of cards was super quick and easy to make. I love making these little card trios for small gifts for friends.  They are all standard A2 sized cards, 5.5″ x 4.25″.  Two shown are a half sheet tent fold (8.5″ x 5.5″) and one is an elongated tent fold made by cutting your paper lengthwise (4.25″ x 11″).  Once my white card bases are made, I cut coordinating sheets of designer paper (this is Lilac Avenue by Kaisercraft) to cover my card completely.  As you can see, I added a line of silver leafing to tie in with the leafing on the monogram.

diecuts-480-332-notime.jpg

I then prepare all my die cut pieces.  I first stamp and emboss my monogram in silver using a JustRite Monogram set and cut and emboss it and a coordinating mat with my Classic Circle Nestabilities, using S4-116 Standard Circles SM #3 (where #1 is the smallest) for the monogram and S4-114 Standard Circles LG #3 for the mat.  I cut and emboss my framing using S4-248 Labels 13 Die Template, and continue to cut and emboss my Flourish Accents using S4-198 Flourish Accent  die templates.  Once having all my pieces cut and embossed, it’s a quick process to put the cards together.

assemble-and-embellish-356-480-notime.jpg

The upper photo shows my card with all the die cut pieces adhered.  I like to run the smaller Flourish Accent die cuts through my small Xyron X.  It makes them so easy to then adhere.  The bottom card is finished.  You can see that I’ve added some Kaiser Rhinestones and Silk Ribbon by May Arts to dress it up!

s4-248-labels-thirteen.jpg

S4-248 Labels 13 Die Template has a MSRP of  $24.99.  The die sizes are:

1)  1 x 13/16″

2)  1 5/8 x 1 3/8″

3)  2 5/16 x 1 15/16″

4)  2 15/16 x 2 1/2″

5)  3 5/8 x 3 1/16″

6)  4 3/8 x 3 11/16″

finished-ornament-360-459.jpg

This is another fun project I did using the S4-248 Labels 13 Die Template.  It’s an ornament, just for fun, and it coordinates with the trio of  cards above.  You could hang this in a window or archway or anywhere you have a hook or knob!  I LOVE having hand crafted items in view to enjoy throughout the day.  It was made using the largest die template and came together much more quickly than one might think!  I’ll plan to show you a full tutorial on this ornament in the next day or two, so check back in if you are interested!!!  TUTORIAL IS POSTED — CLICK HERE.

    Sharon:

The card is gorgeous. But that ornament blew me away!! You’re such a wonderful inspiration and I’ve learned so much from you. And I’ll continue to learn because I never miss your emails.

If I’d read Spellbinder’s rules, I’d have been entering the Birthday Party drawings everyday. I will definitely purchase this Labels template. I’ve seen so many “sneak peaks” from so many vendors ready for CHA that I’m sure I have a good thousand dollars spent already. Well, in my head anyway! This year looks like it’s going to be the best CHA yet! I live close enough to easilyget there next year so will re-up my business license and learn and play.

Thanks again for sharing your wonderful creations. I’ll bet I’d still be sewing if I hadn’t seen your blog listed on Just Rite’s webpage eight or so months ago!
