Birthday Candy
Good morning everyone! Today is my birthday — 56 to be exact. So I thought I’d start my day by offering you some Blog Candy. Since the latest item I’ve added to The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store is the Stamp Simply Lilac Avenue Kit, I thought that would be a good choice. Here it is:

What a beautiful package. I love the colors and would love to win this. I have had a look at your website and like your work a lot. You make wonderful bows. I use ribbon on nearly every card I make. What I need more of is 3/4″ organza ribbon in all colors. That will be my next purchase.

I would love to see more ribbons with some kind of lace look, if you know, what I mean? White or beige or any of these pastel colors with lots of romantic looks in them. Yhese types are sooo hard to find here in Europe, where I´m from, so it would just be wonderful, if there was somewhere to get these from.

Happy Birthday Sharon, mine was last Friday and I went into the hospital Monday for neck surgery. Just got home Friday night and in a neck brace and pain. Trying to take my mind off of it by looking at your awesome creations and others that I missed this past week being cooped up in a hospital bed. Love the ginghams, wide stripes and polka dots–just can’t decide on one. And of course oodles of lucious colors that remind us of spring and a new fresh beginning.

Happy Birthday – a green/lavender ribbon that would coordinate with these two, a varigated organza would be lovely – kind of like watercolors with these two colors being the main ones. Gorgeous colors! When it comes to ribbon I shy away from those that add too much bulk to my cards. Wide ribbon is pretty… but I only use it for packaging. Lovely textured ribbon is my favorite.

I saw this set when you first put it together and I thought to myself how nice, what a great idea for coordinated items, a set of green and purples, Nicely done… As I looked it over I saw the white in it, and the designer papers, and said wow, that is what you call a really great idea and “Lilac Avenue”, what an absolutely perfect name. Lilac Avenue….
My favorite ribbon to work with is sheers as they do seem to flow nicely if the correct width per the project us used otherwise they just flop. Funny thing Sharon, about an hour ago I discovered the one you zapped with the heat gun on the Heartfelt card! Very interesting!!!

Spring makes me think of tiny gingham, skinny stripes, little polkadots (as opposed to the larger counterparts to these, which make me think “Summer!!”)

Happy Birthday! Pink, lilac, and butter yellow always remind me of spring. I love the narrower sheer ribbons (about 1/2″ or 5/8″), and I can’t live without my white and ivory lace which I use all year round. Thanks for the chance to win such an amazing kit. I’m a huge polka dot ribbon fan. However, I love them on grosgrain, in sharp pretty colours and not so much on see through ribbon fabric. I also do not tend to use anything wider than 5/8″ (mostly 3/8 & 5/8). Hope that helps!

I absolutely love this blog candy. All shades of purple are my favorite color, but pair them with light shades of green and they really become the colors I choose most often to make cards with.
