2 Sketches 4 You is JustRite
This week JustRite Stampers is sponsoring the 2 Sketches 4 You Challenge, sketch #44. I immediately loved the simplicity of this sketch, but even more I loved looking at all the samples made up on the 2S4Y Blog — and they certainly worked up the sketch to make it not so simple as I envisioned it!!! How FUN to see the great variety shown for one simple sketch. Be sure to check them all out here.
And here’s my *simple* take on this week’s sketch:
I’m working on creating a supply of thank you notes and I was in a springy mood today! The sketch called for a square focal point — PERFECT for my 2″ Square Frames! And I pulled the Thank You from my Just a Note Set. All layers were cut and embossed using my Classic and Scalloped Square Nestabilites by Spellbinders.
The designer paper and ribbons are from the Stamp Simply Lilac Avenue Kit and the cardsock used is by SU, White and Perfect Plum. Buttons are Basic Grey and are adhered with Aleene’s Fast Grab Tacky Glue (Wal-Mart) – holds them super tight! The center Thank You is popped up on SU dimensionals. I used a large-eyed needle to thread the 1/8″ Silk Ribbon through the button holes.
These are the items I used to create my focal image. I will NEVER, and I mean NEVER, tire of these 2″ Square Frames — I totally adore using them. I like things to be more simple and classic, and the squares just suit me to a T!!! The 2″ Square Decorative Frames Set comes with 6 pretty 2″ square borders and they are used on the 2″ Square Wood Stamper. You can use any variety of items to fill in your center. Today I chose the Thank You from the Just a Note Set. I used my 1 5/8″ Round Wood Stamper to stamp my sentiment, then cut and embossed it with my square Nesties to layer it up onto my frame.

Very nice card and in the colors I just love (I’m on a purple “kick” right now). Also, thank you for the links. I neve hears of JustRite and really need to check them out. Love the sqaure borders die and may order them.

Sharon ~ This is lovely…I am so glad I bought that beautiful Lilac Avenue paper from you…I will be posting a card that I made for a great friend of mine using that paper…I am also enjoying that gorgeous ribbon…the 100% Silk 1.25″!!! Cannot wait for payday…I have my list ready…LOL!!!

Hi, Long time reader first time commenter. Love your card, the little side bows are just perfect. I decided to do the sketch too, after reading your post. After reading your blog for months I finally relented and purchased my first JR stamps. Very handy stamps to own – but you already knew that LOL! I’m trying to find someone in Australia that sells Mayart ribbons and boweasy. I love them too thanks to your beautiful work.
