Stamp Simply #127 – Recipe Card with a Twist!
Recipe Card with a Twist! – Think of flipping through a recipe box filled with cards — the tabs/dividers come to my mind instantly. That’s where we are headed with this one. Make a card (for a recipe if you like, but it need NOT be a true recipe card) that has some tabbed element on it to give you that impression of a traditional recipe card in a box. This will be FUN — can’t wait to see YOUR creations!!!

And for my project today I made a quick little gift card holder:
Just a quick little gift card holder for when you need to extend thanks for a kindness done! Perfect for enclosing just a little something. I used my newest paper that I’m really loving – the 6 x 6 pad from Webster’s Pages called Postcards from Paris/Sweet as Cherry Pie. FUN papers — kind of dual themed, but blending well together in a rainbow of luscious colors. I sell it both as a KIT complete with ribbons, journal cards and embellishments, or individually. The sentiment is from Just a Note by JustRite.
I reduced the height of this card holder to allow for the tab on the top, making it so that it will still fit into a standard A2 sized envelope. Here’s the how to:

Cut paper 8.5 x 5.5″.

Score in from one short end 2″. This forms the bottom pocket.

Score in from other short end 3″. The becomes the top flap.
I cut my framed element from one of the sheets in the Postcards from Paris paper pack mentioned above using my Labels 13 Nestabilities by Spellbinders. I am told these new dies are in house, so I expect mine real soon. You can email me if you’d like a set saved for you ([email protected]). I stamped with VersaFine Vintage Sepia ink and embellished with buttons, Jute String, Kaiser Pearls and 100% Silk Ribbon in Ivory, using the Bow Easy. I used a Velcro Dot for my closure.
Here’s the inside pocket. Aren’t these fun papers! I used one of the small Journal Cards to insert inside. How fun to write your message of thanks on the note and tuck it in the pocket!

Sharon ~ oopsie, I am so late for this challenge and I just posted last night. I did play in the last challenge and hopefully I will be on time for the next one. Your gift card holder is magnificent! I love those papers…for some reason, I have subscribed to your blog several times and I never have gotten a response…so I just keep visiting!

Webster’s Pages is one of my all time favorites lines! I actualy live only 10 minutes away from the owner, Brandin’s house!!!! Their vintage lines go so beautiful with all your lovely silk ribbons!
I have to tell you, Sharon, that two of my friends, Martha and Beth, have enjoyed seeing the projects I’ve created using the ribbons, pearls & bow easy I purchased from you and they both have placed orders now through you too!
