Stamp Simply #131 – CAS Texture

CAS Texture— Adding texture to cards is fun.  Today let’s try to add texture, but still keep it clean and simple.  Those 2 challenges may seem to be incongruous, but let’s try!  I think we’ll get some pretty results!!!  Your texture can come in any form — embossing, distressing, adding embellishments for dimension — whatever you like — just add some fun texture to a CAS creation!!!

Remember to use Mr. Linky below!

And here’s my CAS creation with a bit of texture for today:

131-cas-texture-360-464-wm.jpg

Clean and Simple — Quick and Easy!  My bit of texture comes in with the heat embossed flourishes from SU Baroque Motifs.  The design in this sheet of paper gives the appearance of texture, so I carried it through with a similar embossed flourish to add some actual texture, using Vanilla EP.   I was so pleased with how well that Baroque Motif flourish went with this paper.  It’s a sheet from the 6×6 Devonshire pad by Kaiser.  I just got it in and I’m going to LOVE this pad, SUCH pretty papers.  You can see my growing assortment of paper pads here.  Sentiment is from Thank You Kindly by SU.

The ribbon I used is my new 1/2″ Wrinkled Ribbon in Blue. It’s  a great match to the SU Bashful Blue used on this card.  This ribbon is available by the spool only, but as such is VERY reasonably priced!  It comes in 19 colors that can be seen here.

I truly love making cards that are this plain and simple.  I find it highly rewarding.  Hope you like it, too!!!  So glad you stopped in today and hope you can find some time to play along with us!
