Stamp Simply Ribbon Store April Blog Hop

Welcome to our April Blog Hop — Spring Flowers Just For You is our theme — Spring Flowers referring to any of the beautiful JustRite floral images and/or lovely paper patterns and Just for You referring to a personalized monogram.  And I’ll give you two guesses what I did —

blogheader30910-purple-360-227.jpg

Well, if you guessed that I did a monogrammed set of cards, how right you were!  I’m not too hard to figure out!  Take a look:

blue-awning-card-trio-439-480-wm-notime.jpg

Just had to use my new Stamp Simply K & Company Blue Awning Kit for this monogrammed trio.  All items you see on these cards are contained in the Kit I’ve put together.  It can be seen here.  These are standard A2 sized cards and my monogram is made with my  Special Occasions Front (from my Special Occasions Monogram Kit) and the 2″ Round Wide Borders, used on a 2″ Round Wood Stamper.  It’s so easy and fun to personalize projects with monograms when you have the right products — it’s my favorite thing to do!

ba-card-1-360-480-wm.jpg

For the narrow lace treatment, I threaded a wide-eyed needle with my 1/8″ Sapphire Silk ribbon and ran it through the holes in the 5/8″ Crochet Lace center – it just took a minute and I love the look — just so pretty and vintage!  The 1.25″ Wide Sapphire Silk ribbon treatment is my fun and flirty bow treatment that you can see here.  Having a good pair of scissors that you keep JUST for ribbon allows you to always have nice, crisp cuts on your ribbon tails.  My preference is Fiskars scissors.

ba-card-2-360-471-wm.jpg

I used my Petite Circle Nesties (4 pack) by Spellbinders to mat and frame my monograms.  I pierced holes along the scalloped edge.  Kaiser Rhinestones add a bit of glitz!

ba-card-3-443-360-wm.jpg

If you’ll notice, the base pieces I made with the 2 patterned papers and my threaded lace trim are exactly the same on all 3 cards.  I just changed the orientation of each one when I adhered them to the card base.  Making all 3 the same helps to make this a quick project, but changing the orientation adds interest so they don’t all look the same.  Changing the position of the bow on each card also makes for a more interesting trio. My last post also showed several card samples using the Stamp Simply K & Comany Blue Awning Kit.

Sharon, I love how the variation of the monogram and ribbon placement/style gives these three cards a completely different look. Great job. thank you so muchfor sharing.
