A Quick Update

Published by at 7 49 am under Announcements

Just touching base — as many of you know from previous posts, my Dad is in the hospital 2 hours away, in not so good shape.  Apparently it was a gall bladder attack that sent him to the hospital in the first place just over a week ago, followed later that day by an *electrical storm* where his debifrillator shocked his heart 52 times in a 3 hour period.  Though his heart is now as good as it gets functioning at 10 – 15% percent, his kidneys and liver are failing.  He has pretty much slept the last 4 or 5 days, waking up for a few seconds at a time, but being totally aware when he is awake.  There was a glimmer of hope yesterday as he seemed to gain some strength.  My sister just called and he seems to be even stronger and more alert today.  I am headed there shortly.  God is good!  Please keep him in your prayers.  His name is Roy Peltoniemi, a stubborn Finn who is not about to leave this earth without a good fight.  Praise the Lord, he knows his Maker, so all is well!!!

Sadly, I missed the JustRite Blog Hop yesteday.  They are always SO FUN.  I’m sure most of you caught it, but if not, click here for links.  You can see all 5 of the newly released sets used through out the Hop.

My hop project, 1/2 complete, is a set of coordinated cards using HOPE, a beautiful set for cards or projects of encouragement.  My cards are being made using the Stamp Simply K & Company Blue Awning Kit.  Once I’m able to get back to creating, they’ll be posted here.

As to the new April JustRite releases, I do have By the Sea, Kaleidoscope, and Let’s Celebrate in stock in The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  They arrived earlier this week.  Applique and Hope will be arriving shortly.

Please feel free to continue to email me ([email protected]) with any orders or questions.  I do check emails a few times a day at the hospital and it gives me a nice and needed break, and packing orders at home in the evenings is relaxing to me, so no worries in that regard.  It may take a little longer than usual to get things done as I’m gone each day, but I’m only 2 or 3 days behind on shipments, which isn’t too bad.

The Stamp Simply Challenge that gets posted on Thursday nights will be UP as usual — so check back then.  I probably won’t have a card, but it’s a FUN one that I will catch up on later.

Thank you all for your friendship, your kind comments and emails, and most of all for your prayers.  I am forever grateful!

Keeping you and your family in my heart and prayers. I was so glad to hear that your Dad is gaining some strength. I had my gall bladder removed 5 weeks ago –Our heavenly father is walking right beside you and he will keep you and your Dad strong.

  20. Jerri Kay says:

Sharon, thank you so much for the update. I’m continuing to lift your Dad, Mom, and family in my prayers, as well as the doctors, nurses, and hospital taking care of him. God is so good and Praise the Lord your Dad has a personal relationship with Him! As you know, I had my gallbladder out 3 years ago with severe complications that landed me back in the hospital for nine days and 3 additional surgeries, I know it’s nothing to take lightly! God is with you all and is in control . . . AMEN!

  21. Praise the Lord!
He is from a generation of Fighters Sharon!!
My Dad fought back so many times when the Dr’s had told us no…but we never gave up on him or Him!
It is funny how those times in prayer then, there was something in my heart that said “it is not time”….and when it was, although not easy(still isn’t 2 1/2 yrs later) I was prepared and so was he and the rest of the family. We knew in our hearts, the Lord had prepared us. He is gentle with those that Love Him! and he answers their Prayers!

Tell your Dad that he is not alone, that your on-line family prays for him so that he will feel strength thru the prayers.
He is not alone, their is an Angel with him always as well as with you Sharon!

May His Peace be with you all!
