Stamp Simply #136 – Joy Fold Card

First a quick update on myDad – miraculously, he is hanging in there and with quite a vengence! The numbers they watch for liver, kidneys, blood, etc. are all improving. He is now able to stay awake for more thana few seconds at a time, but is experiencing extreme agitation, disorientation, irritability, etc. Totally NOT himself, so prayers are still needed on all counts! They are discussing releasing him to a nursing home for PT to get him up and walking again, so things are surely looking up! God is so Good! Thank you ALL so much for your encouraging words, comments and emails. Theymean more than you’ll ever know!!! Many, many thanks!!!

JOY FOLD CARD — This fold for a card is just plain old FUN to do — and super easy peasy, lemon squeezy, as they say!!! It’s kind of a little card on top of a larger card, backwards – LOL!!! Check out all the DT girls creations, plusyou can follow this tutorial written by Beate at SCS. We’re sure to see a lot of fun results with this one!!!

Here’s mine:

No stamping on this one today, but I did have fun playing with a new paper pad I just got in by October Afternoon — Thrift Shop! A greatmix of sheetsranging from these dainty vintage prints to bolder more graphic designs, some newsprint, music and even dress patterns — totally fun!!!

I just played with theThrift Shop paperand some SU punches to get my focal image, using my Square Nesties for the bottom layers. My 7/8″ Gingham Ribbonis just wrapped around that panel and tied into a quick bow in front.

Here’s an opened view so you can hopefully see how this Joy Fold Card functions — so fun and easy to make. I followed Beate’s SCS Tuturial linked above, except I turned it vertically. My card base is cut 4.25 x 8.5″ and scored at 5.5″ to give me a standard A2 sized card. The small top card is cut 3 x 8″ and scored at 4″. It’s hard to see in this photo, but I’ve used a Velcro Dot to hold my card closed — works GREAT!

Cardstock used is Prism Sugar Cream and SU Real Red. SU Punches used are 1″, 1 1/4″, 1 3/8″, Scalloped.

The following items used are available in The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store:

7/8″ Gingham Ribbon, Thrift Shop 8×8 Designer Paper Pad and Velcro Dots, Square Nestiesand Scor-It Board.

Buy this card here: 1 only.

Thanks much for stopping in — hope you can find some time to try out this fun fold! Have a great weekend everyone!
