Stamp Simply #136 – Joy Fold Card
First a quick update on my Dad – miraculously, he is hanging in there and with quite a vengence! The numbers they watch for liver, kidneys, blood, etc. are all improving. He is now able to stay awake for more than a few seconds at a time, but is experiencing extreme agitation, disorientation, irritability, etc. Totally NOT himself, so prayers are still needed on all counts! They are discussing releasing him to a nursing home for PT to get him up and walking again, so things are surely looking up! God is so Good! Thank you ALL so much for your encouraging words, comments and emails. They mean more than you’ll ever know!!! Many, many thanks!!!

Here’s mine:
No stamping on this one today, but I did have fun playing with a new paper pad I just got in by October Afternoon — Thrift Shop! A great mix of sheets ranging from these dainty vintage prints to bolder more graphic designs, some newsprint, music and even dress patterns — totally fun!!!
I just played with the Thrift Shop paper and some SU punches to get my focal image, using my Square Nesties for the bottom layers. My 7/8″ Gingham Ribbon is just wrapped around that panel and tied into a quick bow in front.
Here’s an opened view so you can hopefully see how this Joy Fold Card functions — so fun and easy to make. I followed Beate’s SCS Tuturial linked above, except I turned it vertically. My card base is cut 4.25 x 8.5″ and scored at 5.5″ to give me a standard A2 sized card. The small top card is cut 3 x 8″ and scored at 4″. It’s hard to see in this photo, but I’ve used a Velcro Dot to hold my card closed — works GREAT!

We’re continuing to pray for your dad, Sharon. I like the challenge of this card, and really like the way you turned it. Your papers and accessroies go so well together. I might try my very first upload this afternoon IF I can get the camera and computer to work for me.
