Simply Shabby Blog Hop
Welcome to this month’s Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Blog Hop featuring a variety of items available in the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
This month our creations are all focusing on being Simply Shabby! A fun theme and I think you’ll love all the creations the DT made up for you. At the end of this post you’ll find information about a SALE and BLOG CANDY — so be sure to read it all. And now here’s my Simply Shabby card:
To me shabby is all about vintage texture. I kept my card layout very basic and simple, and just added in that vintage looking texture! I pulled out 2 sheets from the Blue Awning paper pack, the upper sheet being very textured. I just got in a new width of Crochet Lace, the 7/8″ you see here. It is GREAT for threading through. The holes are so large you can just thread the ribbon through with your fingers — no needle necessary. I threaded the 3/8″ Velvet through the center here, adding more lush texture.
My sentiment is from Joyful Hearts by JustRite. In conjunction with this Simply Shabby Hop, I am running ALL JUSTRITE PRODUCT ON SALE at 20% OFF. A great time to stock up! Joyful Hearts requires the Small Oval Stamper. It was cut and matted using my Classic Oval Nesties by Spellbinders, 4 pack. My flowers are just a little floral pick I got at Michaels in the bridal section, my ribbon is Ivory 100% Silk and the bow is a single bow made on the largest legs of the original Bow Easy. The corner flourish is made using the Flourish Accent die set by Spellbinders, accented with some Kaiser Pearls.
This is my card inside. Just wanted to show you that I do like to wrap my ribbon all the way around the card front when I don’t have a layer to tuck it under. I added a bit of DP to dress it up. Cardstock used on this card is SU Soft Sky and Very Vanilla. The brown is by Prism.
