Stamp Simply #146 – Star Light, Star Bright

Star Light, Star Bright — This week we will focus on incorporating stars into our projects — partriotic stars; A+ Great Job! stars; twinkle, twinkle little stars — ANY kind of stars you like.  Use punched or die cut stars, stickers, star paper — you get the idea.  Just show us some fabulous stars this week!  It’ll be fun!

Anyone is welcome and invited to play!  SCS Keyword is ssnotime146 for those who upload at SCS.  There is no time limit. You can play this challenge  anytime at all.  The point is to keep it simple, quick and have fun!!!

And be sure to Link to Mr. Linky below.

And today I have a baby card to share with you, with a star, of course!

congratsbabyducks480-379.jpg

An easily made card, relying on the cute strips of ducks in the Ducks in a Row pad by October Afternoon for my focal image.  My sentiment is from the NEW JustRite set called All Occasions Nested Sentiments from their June release.  I used my NEW JustRite Clear Rectangle Stamper with this sentiment — we can now SEE where we are stamping with JustRite — love it!!!   It was so easy to align my sentiment nice and straight on the paper!  I used VersaFine Onyx Black, my favorite ink for crisp, dark sentiments.

My star is punched out of SU YoYo Yellow with the the SU larger Star Punch, and dressed up with a button and piece of 1/8″ Silk Ribbon for the bow.  My larger bow is Yellow 5/8″ Twill made on the Bow Easy.  Rather than fluff my bow like I normally do, I pressed it flat with my hand this time.  It is glued on with Aleene’s Fast Grab Tacky Glue I pick up at Wal-Mart.  You have to press it down for a few seconds, but once it grabs, it’s there for good!  And I used tiny black Kaiser Pearls for the mama ducks eyes.
