Stamp Simply Hop – Words Worth Remembering

Welcome to the monthly Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Blog Hop.  This month we are focusing on Words Worth Remembering.  You know all those great quote stamps — fun to use either as your focal point, a card front sentiment or on the inside of your card — they are SO versatile and today we have some fun samples to show you.  OH, and we have Blog Candy today, too, so read below on that!

And for my card today I chose to use one of the clear sets by Wordsworth.  I brought in this line of stamps specifically for all the great sentiments they contain, worthy of serving as a focal image on projects.  You can see all the Wordsworth sets I have in stock here.

My sentiment is by Louisa May Alcott from The Women’s Collection.  I love this sentiment and pulled some of the Seaside themed sheets from my Triple Pack by Webster’s Pages (Seaside/Garden/Nature) to compliment this sentiment.  Ink used is my fav for crisp, dark sentiments — VersaFine Onyx Black.  And if you happened to see my post from Saturday were I discussed my Go-To Layout — well, here it is again — only in a different orientation.  Today it is horizontal rather than vertical.

Today’s card is a bit larger than A2.  I wanted to take advantage of the full 6″ width of the pretty paper, so my card is 4.25″ x 6″.  It fits into the Invitation Envelopes sold at Wal-Mart.

louisastorms-detail-440-333.jpg

I used my Labels Four Nesties by Spellbinders to cut my focal sentiment and trimmed it up with buttons from my stash. The large bow is 1.25″ Silk in Ivory and the bow is made on the Bow Easy.  I used 1/4″ Silk in Ivory to run through the buttons and make those smaller bows – fun!  Again, a very simple card using my Go-To Layout, allowing the paper to provide a lot of interest, using a sentiment as my focal image and dressing it all up with a little silk!

All items used to make this card are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and are linked above.

Email me at [email protected] to order, including state/zip OR country.
