Lots to cover today — let’s begin with the card I made this afternoon for this week’s House and Home challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room.  A fun challenge requiring the use of soft blues, creams, whites and browns and/or a house image.  Here’s my try:

Paper:  Cappella by Basic Grey (in KIT form here)

Stamp:  Emerson Collection by Wordsworth (house is paper pieced)

Ink:  VersaFine Onyx Black (and brown chalk ink to edge)

Ribbon:  1.25″ Crochet Lace in Ivory (scraps were used to create these small end pleats with Scor-Tape) and 1.25″ Silk in Blue, bow made on the Bow Easy

Dies:  Spellbinders Bird, Classic Rectangle 4-pack, Long Rectangle 4-pack, Floral Accents

Embellishments:  Kaiser Pearls and Rhinestones

Scraps were used to finish off the inside, still allowing space to write. Sentiment is from the same set linked above.

The heat and humidity here are almost unbearable — making me so sluggish and tired!  We had a super busy weekend with The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Open House on Friday and our local stamping gathering on Friday night and Saturday.  Both were fun and successful events, providing tons of stamping and laughs with friends from far and wide!  It was so nice to see everyone!!!  Many thanks to those who came!!!  The doors here at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store are always open (by appointment) and you are always welcome!  Please don’t hesitate to contact me.  I’m totally bummed that we were so busy I really didn’t get photos of either event — I so wish I had.
