A Winner, a Card and NEW Flowers!

A Blog Candy winner, a feminine graduation gift card holder and lots of NEW Prima Flowers.

Let’s start with the Blog Candy winner from our Autumn Splendor Blog Hop this past week.  The Blog that random.org selected from which to choose the winner was Holly’s Blog.  SO, let’s go on over to Holly’s place, Toy’s Haven,  to see who won the Stamp Simply Kaisercraft LUSH KIT pictured above. All KITS available may be seen here.  Many thanks to all who played and checked out all of our projects.  Knowing you come to look and see is what makes it fun for us — thank you SO much!

Now on to my card.  Although we’ve done a few autumn projects already, we are feeling the full heat and humidity of summer here this week, so I wanted some truly summer colors today!  I needed to make a graduation gift card holder (or check holder in this case), so take a peek:

The party is tonight so I finished just in the knick of time!  This is a standard gift card holder to insert our check, done in her school colors, purple and gold (yellow, really).  Loving this bright and sunny yellow from a new 6×6 pad I just got in, DeLovely by Cosmo Cricket.  It just made me happy to make this card this evening.

And here’s a look at a few of my new Prima flowers!  Oh, I was one happy camper when my order arrived last evening.  I have many packs to show you, but as we are out the door to this party in just a few minutes, I’ll post later tonight when I get home to show you all the flowers I have in stock.  They are SO pretty!

My little bow is 1/4″ Yellow Silk — a double bow made on the Bow Easy.  I just applied a dab of clear drying glue under the petals of those 2 flowers and poked the center knot of my bow under there with my piercing tool and held it a minute.  It just kind of fanned up the bow loops to make this spray type of ribbon adornment.

The sentiment is from Victorian Nested Frames by JustRite (loving these beautiful font sentiments), cut on my Fancy Tags die by Spellbinders, and fancied up with my purple Kaiser Rhinestones.  I used my favorite ink for crisp, clear sentiments – VersaFine Onyx Black.

Scor-tape held my pocket portion in place and a Velcro Dot was used as the card closure.  Velcro dots remain my preferred closure on these type of cards — they are very inexpensive and they ALWAYS work.

All items used on this project are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store

I’ll be back later tonight to show you my new Primas as well as a few other things I received yesterday for the store.    Thank you SO much for stopping in!  See you real soon!

The flowers are beautiful, can’t wait to see the whole selection! But you are torturing us, as Holly does not have the winner post up yet, LOL! Love your store, can’t wait to order some ribbon but is is so hard to decide amongst all the wonderful choices!

  10. Since Judy only lives 20 miles from Prima’s office, I think she should go get some flowers for all of us! Save the postage! lol

Your card is beautiful, and tucking the knot under the flowers was a good idea! Such simple things can make your pleasure, not work, so elegant!

    Have a great week!
