Stamp Simply #156 – Let’s Hear it for the Guys!
Lets’s Hear it for the Guys!– Guy cards just don’t seem to come as easy for most of us as pretty, frilly, girlie cards — agree? This week let’s come up with some great ideas for guy cards — any reason — birthday, thank you, get well, thinking of you, etc. — let’s just make some cards that are more suited to sending to the guys in our lives. Only one other stipulation — NO BOWS!!! You may use ribbon or string, but in a *manly* fashion — LOL!!!!
Anyone is welcome and invited to play! SCS Keyword is ssnotime156 for those who upload at SCS. There is no time limit. You can play this challenge anytime at all. The point is to keep it simple, quick and have fun!!!
And do you remember last week, I neglected to select a September Guest Designer — so I decided to choose someone who played along and linked up last week as our Guest Designer for the remainder of September. Well, I was thrilled with all the wonderful creations!!! Thank you all so much for playing along and linking up. It was a hard decision, but here it is:
Chrissie’s Autumn Colours entry truly spoke to me — I absolutely loved her card! She actually has two cards on this post, both lovely, but the first card so perfectly captures the essence of *falling leaves*! Additionally, it was clean, simple, fresh and white and an absolute delight for the eyes! So, Chrissie, if you are able, we’d love to have you serve as our Guest Designer for the last 2 weeks of September!
And be sure to Link to Mr. Linky below if you play along so we can easily find you.

Thanks so much for stopping in again. I so appreciate it! It’s been a busy week and I’ve fallen behind on my time to create/post. My Dad has been hospitalized again, this time with Sepsis. It was caught very early and appears to be responding to treatment, but he does need your prayers! He has been doing SO good from his April/May ordeal with his heart (defibrillator shocks) and then his partial foot amputation. We all call him “Little Foot”. He has the cutest “little foot” — LOL!!! He has a brace with shoe attached to wear when he goes out, but he does real well just stocking feet in the house. His recovery surely was a mirale and answer to prayer!!! Now the needed prayers are that he would recover completely from this blood infection. Any prayers you can offer would be most greatly appreciated!
Thanks much everyone, see you real soon!!!

Hi Sharon,
I will definetly add your Dad to my prayers.
And you and your family as well, since I am sure that the worry is hard on everyone.
This is a great challenge for 2 reasons! One guy cards are hard for me as well, and two I need a card for my brother’s birthday coming up next week! So this is perfect!:)

Hi Sharon,
Greetings from sunny South Africa!
I have not yet received my parcel and will let you know when I do, but wanted to say that I am sorry to hear that your Dad is having a bad spell again.
I will keep him in my prayers and post his name and details on our prayer chains – I trust that our heavenly Father will strengthen him and do another amazing work in the situation.
May the Lord supply five smooth stones in your Dad’s hand to conquer the giant in his life right now! Remember, he has not brought your Dad this far to see him defeated, He has brought him this far to give him the victory!
May you and your family be blessed today.

Gorgeous, Sharon! Beautiful colors and the texture and patterns are fantastic! Wonderful scripture card!
Okay, I posted a link to my card and just came back and realized that there was a “no bow” stipulation! Totally did not see that the first time around. Not sure how to delete my card entry because I have a bow!
give me a minute to get this linked to my GUY card. I have three posted so you will have to scroll to the last one to see my guy card. thanks for the challenge.
Love the sketch, enjoyed using it. My guys at home don’t do sport so this would work real well as a card for them. hope it passes muster with you too. Hope your Dad is better soon.
