Halloween and Christmas Kits

Published by at 10 21 pm under Uncategorized

I think I’ve told you before I absolutely love putting KITS together.  Pulling different ribbons to coordinate with papers is an absolute JOY!  I’d have a KIT made for each pad of paper I carry if I only had time to get it all done.  So it pleases me to no end when you write me asking for kits for a certain paper pad.  It pushes me to get done (at least in part) what I’ve wanted to do all along.  Recent requests have been for another Halloween Kit using Cosmo Cricket’s Matilda 6×6 Pad and a Christmas Kit using Graphic 45’s Christmas Past.  Here’s the Matilda Halloween KIT I just put together:

These are fun loving papers and I thought the Grosgrain Stripes would work perfectly with them!  I also added in some wide Grosgrain Ric Rac in black and some Kaiser Rhinestones in black — perfect for eyes or other accents!!!  You can read the full contents of this KIT on this page.

And once we’re talking Halloween, I still have some of the Graphic 45 Halloween in Wonderland KITS left as well.  Here’s a look at the Halloween in Wonderland KIT that I posted several weeks back:

And as for Christmas KITS, I do have others in mind, but this is the only one ready so far!  I used Graphic 45’s Christmas Past in 8×8.  I kept simple creations in mind when choosing the ribbon — some wide Crochet Lace and wide Silk.  A simple bow on some pretty paper without a lot of fuss is a great way to create a classy Christmas card that doesn’t take a lot of time.  I added some Kaiser Rhinestones for that festive holiday glitz! Click here to see one very simple card I did a week or so ago using these items.

I’m super excited about the Webster’s Pages Christmas items on order.  They should be here about the 3rd week of September (fingers crossed!) .  There are beautiful embellishment packs to coordinate with the paper packs and I’ll be putting together a Silk Ribbon Package as well!  Can’t wait!!!

Anyway, here’s a quick Christmas card I just made up using items from the Christmas Past KIT shown above:

For me, Christmas cards NEED to be simple and quick!  Here I cut out one of the images from Christmas Past and backed it with cardstock to give it the stability I like when I pop it up on dimensionals.  My Merry Christmas on the bottom is hard to see, but to me it looks like vintage handwriting, that’s why I liked it!  It is by Wordsworth and you can see it on this post, down on the bottom.  It’s a wood mount rubber stamp for $7.50 called Merry Christmas 2.  I have plenty in stock.    My bow is the Antique Gold Silk included in the KIT and it’s a double bow made on the Bow Easy.  The ink is my favorite for crisp, dark sentiments – VersaFine Onyx Black.  And I used just one single Kaiser Rhinestone on the tip of Santa’s hat.  Just a simple card, but I think it’s kind of pretty, especially considering the little effort that went into it — LOL!!!
