Stamp Simply #158 – Bridal Inspiration

Bridal Inspiration – I fell in love with this photo when I saw it!  This is a bridal sari for an Indian wedding.  I absolutely LOVE the colors, the texture, the shimmer of the fabric, the beading, the patterns.  Today’s challenge is to use this photo for your inspiration and just run with it — take what speaks to you from this photo and show us all your FAB creations!  Can’t WAIT to see what you all come up with!  And please, in your post, tell us what spoke to you the most!!!

Anyone is welcome and invited to play!  SCS Keyword is ssnotime158 for those who upload at SCS.  There is no time limit. You can play this challenge anytime at all.  The point is to keep it simple, quick and have fun!!!

And if YOU play along, be sure to link to Mr. Linky below so we can easily find you.  Please link the direct post, not your blog, for ease in finding the proper creation!

And here’s my card for today:

What I took from the inspiration photo were the brown tones and the rich, opulent, yet sleek and classy, feel. I turned that gorgeous inspiration photo into a clean and simple Christmas card that I hope lends a similar feel.  This is a very do-able card for Christmas mass production.

The paper used is Tis the Season by Kaisercraft.  All paper in stock can be seen here.

Tis the Season is also made into a KIT, which can be seen with all other KITS here.

The gorgeous sentiment is from Christmas Nested Sentiments by JustRite.  All JustRite Stamps can be seen on this page. I carry the full line of JustRite product and do realize a few items may not be showing up on that page.  If you’re not seeing something you want, just ask.

Ink used is VersaFine Onyx Black, also visible on above link.

Sentiment was cut with a Long Rectangle Nestie by Spellbinders.  All tools can be seen on this page, and that includes the Bow Easy.

I wanted to show you this pretty little bow. It was made on the 2nd largest legs on the Original Bow Easy.  I just left the tails a little long and wrapped them around the sentiment panel.  This is such a fun ribbon to work with.  It *molded* very well to the shape I wanted, yet it still feels so nice, soft and pliable.  Once the bow looked how I wanted it to, I put a dab of glue under each loop to hold them down as shown.  The bow squishes flat very easily for insertion into an envelope and has enough spring that it’ll pop up a bit when removed from the envelope.  Fun holiday ribbon!

This ribbon is the 3/8″  Metallic Solid Edge in Brown/Gold. All ribbons available are shown here.  This ribbon is also included in the Tis the Season KIT linked above.

All items used are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

To order, just email me at [email protected] with your list, state/zip OR country so I can calculate postage, and I’ll get back to you with an invoice.

15% OFF on ALL ribbon purchased BY THE SPOOL runs through the entire month of September.  All ribbon I carry is quality ribbon by May Arts (with the exception of the bridal tulle and ribbon sold on cards to coordinate with papers).  It’s a great time to plan your fall/winter projects and stock up on quality ribbon at an affordable price!

As always, thanks much for stopping in today.  I truly do appreciate it!  Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and hope to see you back real soon!  Thanks, everyone!
