Just a quick reminder this morning that the sale I’ve been running all month on ribbon purchased BY THE SPOOL continues through the end of September, about another 2 days.  All ribbon purchased BY THE SPOOL is 15% OFF through September.  To order, just email me at [email protected] with your list, your state/zip OR country and I’ll get back to you with an invoice.  All ribbon can be seen here.  All price shown are full prices.  Your discount will be reflected on your invoice.

We’ve been gone for about the past 6 days, so today it’s back to the grindstone!  We took a quick trip to Columbus, OH to visit our oldest son and his girlfriend and what a busy time we had!    Our first stop upon arrival was dinner in the Arena District at a fun Italian restaurant — without a doubt the noisiest restaurant we have EVER been in — LOL!!!  We toured a few homes for sale (always a fun thing to do), we shopped for HOURS at the Longaberger Homestead, spent some time in Granville, an absolutely picture perfect village, met Marissa’s family and enjoyed a few meals with them, and attended a HUGE church on Sunday. WOW!   Was that an eye-opener for us country bumpkins!  Bear in mind we attend a small country church with 20 – 40 people in attendance each Sunday.  Vineyard Columbus was more akin to a mall in appearance and had thousands in attendance!!!

We were enjoying our time so much I totally forgot to take pictures, but here are a couple I took as we were taking a break in Granville:

This is Marissa and Steve in front of a little store I liked.  It’s called Green Velvet and I was literally sucked into the door when I spotted their small, but totally luscious display of ribbon on spools!

And this is me and Steve in front of the same store!  You have now seen all the pictures taken on our little trip — LOL!!!  It was so much fun to get away for a few days and wonderful to spend time with Steve, Marissa and her family!!!

On the home front, just as I was leaving last week,  Splitcoast had a major switchover of the blogs they host to a newer version of WordPress, so I am writing today from a newly improved blog!  It’s not visible to you on the outside, but the insides SHOULD be working better — that was the intent, anyway!  Remember how you all have been so frustrated at not being able to see current posts without continually clicking REFRESH?  Well, that problem SHOULD be resolved, and I surely hope it is.  PLEASE let me know if you experience any similar problems.

Editing 30 minutes later:  OK, I’m getting reports already that people are still needing to click REFRESH to see the most current post.  This issue is going to make me bald, I tell ya!!!!  PLEASE let me know how it’s working for YOU!  Thanks!

Now it’s down to the store to get some packages wrapped and out the door and I do have a computer repairman coming today to resolve another little issue I’ve had, so fingers crossed that works out, too!  It’s good to be home and back in the saddle!  I’d LOVE to get a card made tonight — we will see if time permits!  But for sure the Stamp Simply Challenge will be posted late Thursday night, as usual.

Nice to be back talking to you all!  Thanks for stopping in!

Your blog is working now for me–I don’t have to find a way to get to the newest entry. I was blaming all those issues on my computer–but now that I think about it–one of the other blogs was doing the same thing–Beate’s through SCS.

I have always wanted to go to Longaberger–and that store looks so cute. Those are my kind of places to visit.

No refresh needed here 🙂 Glad you had a fun trip visiting your son. It is so strange running into other Marisa’s because there are not a lot of us around LOL, especially my spelling with one “s” only. She looks like a lovely girl and your son looks so happy 🙂
