Vintage Wedding with Webster’s Pages

Published by at 10 33 pm under Webster's Pages,Wedding Cards

I need to make several wedding cards in short order.  This is the first and I’ve done it in a vintage style using beautiful vintage inspired papers and lace by Webster’s Pages and May Arts Silk Ribbon.  If truth be told, this card was actually made from scraps of paper left over from the last card I made from this pad — Hollywood Vogue/Wonderfall by Webster’s Pages.  This small piece with the beautiful peacock sitting amongst the roses captured my eye and heart, so I decided this would be my focal point.  I’m not so sure a peacock is what you’d typically find on a wedding card, but it seemed to work for me today!!! (ETA:  A reader wrote saying her daughter is having a peacock wedding and that peacocks are VERY in this year for weddings — who was to know!  Certainly not me — LOL!!!)  Take a look:

Vintage prints, lace and a silk bow — truly beautiful vintage elements!  This card is standard A2 sized.  My bow is hand tied and is rather over-sized today.  I ran the ribbon through slots in the lace so that made it super easy to tie into the bow once it was attached to the card through the lace.   When done, I did apply a dab of glue behind my blow, just for insurance!  Cardstock used is SU Blush Blossom.

The inside also came together just picking up scrap pieces.  This paper is just so gorgeous, every little scrap deserves to be used!  This inside sentiment has been my go-to sentiment for wedding cards ever since it came out.  It is from Loving Thoughts Centers by JustRite.  I used it today on the CLEAR Rectangle Stampers, making it super easy to place correctly on my scrap piece.  A Martha Stewart punch was used for the scallop.

Always and Forever — so pretty and it fit the space just perfectly!  It’s from a beautiful new wedding set by JustRite — Wedding Nested Sentiments — made to fit the CLEAR Rectangle Stampers.  I was SO thrilled with this new set  as it gives me so many more options for wedding themed cards and it’ll be great for scrappers as well!  I’ll show you the set at the end of this post.  And did you notice the Blush Kaiser Pearls I used on the peacock’s tail?

This gorgeous lace is included in the Webster’s Pages Trim Card called Hollywood, and this Trim card IS INCLUDED in the KIT I’ve put together using this pad — Hollywood Vogue/Wonderfall.  The silk is my Champagne 100% Silk by May Arts, which is also included in the KIT.

And here’s the card in a Clear Box, A2 sized.  The bow on this card is super large so it is squeezed in a bit, but is still very protected and will come out of the box in perfect condition.  As you’ll note, the box is a bit larger than the card.  That is because this A2 sized Clear Box holds the envelopes in this size as well, allowing you use these boxes for card gift sets you create, complete with cards and envelopes!  I have these Clear Boxes in sizes A2 and A6 — links are at the end of this post.

And these are the stamps included in JustRite’s new Wedding Nested Sentiments – $14.95. I’m so pleased with this set!  I sold out of my first shipment before I even received or posted it, but I do have more on the way, so if you’d like a set, you can just let me know — they’ll be here in a few days.  You will need the Clear Rectangle Stampers to use with them, and they work well with any of the Nested Frames available.
