Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Blog Hop

Holiday Crafting Made Easy with a Stamp Simply Kit — Today our Designers will be showing you some fun holiday projects using a variety of the Stamp Simply Kits.

Project above made by Michelle Woerner.

If you aren’t familiar with our Stamp Simply Kits well, that’s just what they are — Kits I’ve put together for purchase as one unit.  I start with a pad of designer paper and select ribbon and sometimes other embellishments to coordinate with and compliment the paper.  So one purchase gets you paper with ribbon and embellishments that are guaranteed to match.  The guess work is gone!  You get a nice selection of coordinated items so you can begin crafting right away!  All of the Stamp Simply Kits are listed on this page.  Additionally, all items in the kits are also available individually.

And YES, we have a Blog Candy offering today, so please read to the end of this post for those details!

All product links will also be after all project photos.

And here’s my project for today, using gorgeous vintage inspired papers by Webster’s Pages in a Kit I’ve put together – The Stamp Simply Sweet Santa Kit – $37.00:

I made a card and decorated a chipboard stocking — FUN!!!  I just can’t get enough of mixing and matching the luscious papers that come in the Webster’s Pages packs.  Add in a few pretties and I am one happy camper!

This card was very quick and easy.  I hold true to my feelings that Christmas cards have to be easy — if they aren’t, I’ll never get them done!  This card is a size I enjoy of late – 6″ x 4.5″.  I like 6″ as it allows me to completely cover the front with 1 sheet of  6″ designer paper.  I’ve been avoiding a lot of matting these days.  I like the *matless* look, plus it’s a lot quicker to make!

This size card fits into the envelopes I get at Wal-Mart called Invitation Envelopes.  They are large enough to also hold a 4 x 6 photo, which is a real bonus at Christmas time when we all share photos!

I also have the Clear Boxes to hold this size card – it’s the A6 size.    I also have them in our standard US A2 size. Clear Boxes are the perfect solution for cards with bulk or when you want to protect that perfect bow!  They can be used either for mailing or for storage at home to protect your creations, and they are PERFECT for housing a gift set of cards you’d like to present as a gift!

My card has an Ivory Silk Bow made on the Bow Easy,  a Prima Fairytale Rose in French White and the *I Believe* sentiment from Christmas Nested Sentiments by JustRite.  I thought the *I Believe* was just perfect with the tiny Santa on this paper.

I had good intentions to make 3 cards today, but time is my constant enemy and only 1 card got completed.  I’ll do the others another day.  But what I wanted to show you here is how I like to just take advantage of these pretty sheets of paper.  They truly *make* the card, so I don’t have to do a whole lot more – LOL!  To finish off the card I just added a bow, a rose and a tag.

I again used my go-to set for Christmas sentiments for the inside.  Don’t know what I’d do without Christmas Nested Sentiments by JustRite.  It requires the Clear Rectangle Stamper by JustRite — being clear I can see through to properly place my sentiment each time.

A JustRite Sale:  I just noticed that JustRite is running a sale of 25% OFF on all CHRISTMAS stamps in the Orinigal line, NOT the new cling.  I am happy to honor those sale prices in The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  This sale runs though November 15, while supplies last.

This is one Chipboard Stocking that comes in a pack of 5.  They are by Kaisercraft and sell for $8.99 for the pack of 5.  They are intended to be strung together to form a Christmas garland (see Deb’s garland here), but I loved the idea of just using one.  This could be a door hanger, wall decor or wouldn’t it make a lovely little teacher gift this season!  And with 5 to a pack it makes for a very reasonably priced gift item.  I traced my stocking onto the designer paper and cut out, then adhered to the chipboard using Mod Podge.  These stockings are fairly large being 8″ high and 6″ across the foot.  Adding in my ribbon hanger, it is 11.5″ high.

I took advantage of a scrap leftover from the cards for the scalloped top.  The top scalloped piece is separate from the stocking itself.  I glued them together for this stocking afer they were both covered.  The holes are pre-drilled.  I just covered right over the holes and the punch in my Cropodile was the perfect size to punch the holes after the paper was adhered – just perfect!  The ribbon I used for the hanger on top is not included in the Sweet Santa Kit.  It is my new 1.5″ Wrinkled Ribbon in Burgundy and was the perfect size and weight to serve as a hanger.

Here I used the 1/2″ Wrinkled Ribbon in the Kit and some Prima Fairytale Roses in French White.  The ribbon is wrapped around the stocking and hand tied into a bow.

I just traced the toe and heal and cut the curved shape and adhered them on top.  There is also a strip of the 1/2″ Olive Wrinkled Ribbon.  This was a totally fun project to make!!!
