Stamp Simply #169 – Quick and Easy Gifts

Published by at 9 00 am under Challenges

Hi everyone.  I’ve been absent here for awhile again as my Dad has been hospitalized for over a week in serious condition.  The last several months have been a roller coaster for him once again, in and out of hospitals for a vareity of reasons – his defib was replaced, it was then discovered the wire to his heart had disconnected so it had to be replaced again, somewhere in there he had e-coli/sepsis and was so ill with that, then he battled a bout with pneumonia and now so much is wrong, acute renal failure being the imminent problem.  Just a few hours ago he finished his first dialysis treatment so we are very hopeful for improvement.  He is very, very sick.  One day at a time.  I know many of you have prayed for my Dad before and I’d surely appreciate those prayers again. His name is Roy.   Many, many thanks!  God is good!

Now, on to this week’s challenge:

I’m working on a hotel computer, thus the lack of photos for today’s post — sorry.

Quick and Easy Gift Sets – Who doesn’t love to receive a gift set of cards all neatly packaged up!  Today a couple girls from the Design Team will show you samples of some quick, easy, but still FAB  gift sets or even individual gifts presented in a Clear Box for a real WOW factor!  Tie on a bow, add a belly band — can’t wait to see what they do! Today they are showcasing Clear Boxes, and for today’s challenge you don’t have to make an entire set of cards, just show us a quick and easy card or gift that would work up easily into a Clear Box.  Can’t WAIT to see!!!

Samples created will give you some great ideas for using the Clear Boxes available:

 Deb Saaranen:  Dream in Color

Michelle Woerner:  Stop and Stamp the Roses

Barb Schram:  Explore.  Dream.  Discover  (posting on Saturday)

Me — in lieu of a project in my absence, I’d just like to add that I LOVE the Clear Boxes for storing my cards that have a little bulk.  I’ve been on a Prima kick lately (Fairytale Roses have stolen the show in my heart) and my cards are kept perfectly protected while in their own Clear Box, plus it makes them easy to store and easy to find as I can see right through the boxes.  Just a little added bonus to having some Clear Boxes on hand.  And yes, you CAN mail your card in the clear box. Small clear dot sealers come with them to keep them closed!

Even though I’ve been gone a lot lately and haven’t had time to create or post, I’m managing to keep up with the store, so your orders are welcomed at any time!

To order just email me at [email protected] with your list and your state/zip OR country so I can calculate postage and I will get back to you with an invoice.  Thanks!

Sharon, sorry to hear about your dad being so ill. If you are in Marquette, please feel free to call me anytime for anything. Email me and I will return with my phone number or I am in the local Marquette phone book. I am thinking that he is in Marquette General and I am wondering if you are at the Beacon House. If so, I can be there in 10 minutes for whatever you need. However, I just got over the flu and would give me another 24 hours to make sure I am not contagious…but I sure am 100% the last 36 hours! Just to be safe. If you need to use a computer, mine is available also. And you will never say: “oh, come on in, my house is a mess, but you are welcome” after you see mine! take care, will keep all of you in my prayers.

Sharon – Your family and Dad will be your first priority – not the creations – use them to relax only. I lost my Dad a couple of years ago – and if you feel anything like I feel when my Dad became ill – i truly pray for you. My Dad was so precious to me – I’d give anything for more time with him – thats why he should come first right now – no regrets – OK?

    Thinking of you.
