It’s always fun to reflect on past projects.  I scanned my gallery and pulled these as my favorites of 2010. 

An altered box from Michaels and card using May Arts silk, lace and velvet zig zag ribbon.  Stamps are JustRite Stitched with Love.  See more here.

A trio of very simple cards taking advantage of the pretty paper.  On the left is a hand made box for the cards.  The paper is Postcards from Paris by Webster’s Pages, which is no longer available.  All of the Webster’s Pages papers offer wonderful opportunities for cards of this style.  Ribbon is May Arts silk with bows made on the Bow Easy.  See more here.

Another project using JustRite’s Stitched with Love and boxes I picked up at Michaels and altered.  The papers are from a variety of Graphic 45 pads and the ribbon is May Arts silk.  Bows made on the Bow Easy.  See more here.

A vintage inspired monogrammed trio using K & Company’s Blue Awing papers and JustRite’s Special Occasions Monogram Kit and 2″ Wide Borders, and May Arts silk ribbon in 2 widths, the narrower being run through the 5/8″ lace (love that vintage look!).  Again the Bow Easy for bows.  See more here. 

This is a large card using October Afternoon’s Thrift Shop paper, a favorite pad of mine and a favorite stamp of mine as well, Birthday Blessings by Wordsworth.  What I also liked about this card is that I tea died the May Arts Silk.  See more here, including a mini tutorial on tea dying ribbon.

Yes, basically the same card as above — but what can I say — I LOVE this stamp, this paper and this layout.  I again used some paper from October Afternoon’s Thrift Shop pad and the grey dots are an old SU DP.  I changed the ribbon to May Arts Striped Grosgrain, but stuck with my silk bow!  See more here.

Another vintage inspired card using Blue Awning paper by K & Company and May Arts silk,  7/8″ lace with the 3/8″ velvet run through the center.  The sentiment is JustRite’s Joyful Hearts.  See more here.

 This is a monogrammed wedding card I made using paper from Graphic 45’s  LeRomantique and JustRite Special Occasions Monogram Kit with a 2″ wide border.  Of course, May Arts silk ribbon and the Bow Easy.  See more here.

 This trio using Webster’s Pages paper was a super favorite of mine as it incorporates my favorite go-to layout.  Sentiments are by Wordsworth.  See more here, including some how-to’s and quick tips for this layout.

This trio uses Kaisercraft’s Utopia Paper and May Arts ribbons along with my favorite of the Prima flowers, Fairytale Roses.  I use them a lot.  As you may know, I make up a lot of KITS incorporating paper pads, ribbons and other embellishments.  I must say, this Utopia KIT is by FAR the most fun kit to sit and put together.  The papers, patterns and ribbon colors just make me feel absolutely HAPPY as I work with them!  All three verses used are Scripture Verses by Verve in the form of Plain Janes — GREAT little stamps that convey wonderful messages of encouragement.  See more here.

A fairly simple, but pretty  Christmas Card using some gorgeous paper by Kaisercraft, Tis the Season, and my go-to set for Christmas Sentiments — JustRite’s Christmas Nested Sentiments.  LOVE those beautifully scripted Christmas verses.  See more here.

A clean and simple wedding card using a lovely VERVE set called Blessings and my expected May Arts silk ribbon. For the inside of wedding cards my long-time favorite has been to use a computer generated version of the Love Chapter, 1 Corinthians 13.  See more here, including my computer generated inside.

Once again, a super simple set of cards for Christmas. Simple is A-OK in my book!  This is a trio of cards in two sizes plus a small 3 x 3 tag on a wrapped package, all coordinating using Graphic 45’s Christmas Past paper and once again, my go-to set for Christmas Sentiments, JustRite’s Christmas Nested Sentiments.  See more here.

This is a trio of cards that comes from a set of about 12 – 15 coordinated pieces, all using the Yuletide KIT I prepared including papers by K & Company along with a variety of May Arts ribbons and embellishments.  This was a NO STAMP project, and they are fun to do sometimes!  You can see all the other pieces to the set here. 

This is a sympathy card using Webster’s Pages paper, Hollywood Vogue/Wonderfall, a sentiment from JustRite’s Sympathy Nested Sentiments, and May Arts silk ribbon which was ruched.  See more here, including a link to a ribbon ruching tutorial.
