Vintage Ribbon Sampler (and a Baby Card)

Today I just felt like playing with ribbon — so I did!  I’ve been in SUCH a pink mood of late, so PINK it was.  And VINTAGE.  I’ve been wanting to put together more Ribbon Samplers for ages, and today was my start — I’m so pleased with the results and I hope you are, too!

Pink Vintage Ribbon Sampler – 18 yards – $25.00

(1 yard of each ribbon shown above)

 Vintage lusciousness!

Suggested add-ons to coordinate with the Vintage Pink Sampler.

Prima Poetic Whispers in Heather or Cream.

Prima Fairytale Roses in Baby Pink, French White or Orchid.

May Arts Silk Ribbon in Pink or Ivory.

Kaisercraft Pearls in Pearl, Champagne or Blush and Light Pink Rhinestones.

May Arts String Pearls in Light Fuchsia.

All items shown/used on today’s post are available from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

And once pulling all these pretties out, I HAD to play:

A card for a precious new baby girl!

I used English Rose paper by Kaisercraft, available individually or in KIT form.

Isn’t she beautiful!

Cut from a Baby Girl Cotton Scrap by Crafty Secrets

The ribbon detail is my favorite part of every card.

I used 3 ribbons from the Vintage Pink Ribbon Sampler above.

Ivory Pleated Satin, Pink Velvet Zig Zag,  Ivory Stitched Satin.

Of course I used the Bow Easy and added Baby Pink Fairytale Roses.

The *Congratulations* is one of many sentiments included in All Occasions Nested Sentiments by JustRite, used with a crisp, black ink – VersaFine Onyx Black.  I LOVE  JustRite’s Nested series of sentiments and frames.

One of the most common questions I get asked is
“How do you fit a card like that in an envelope?”

Well, I don’t!  I put cards with a lot of dimension into Clear Boxes.  I store them in Clear Boxes for protection, I give them in Clear Boxes when I hand deliver, I attach Clear Boxes to wrapped gift boxes and I mail Clear Boxes (sometimes alone, sometimes in a bubble wrap bag – just depends).

This card is a bit larger than our standard A2 US size as I made it to fit the A6 sized Clear Box.  I enjoy the extra space on this size card. The card is a side fold and it measures 6 5/8″ high by 4 3/4″ wide — a perfect fit for the box!

I have both A2 and A6 size Clear Boxes in stock.

Deb, one of the Stamp Simply girls, has recently posted a card that  I’d like to share with you.

Here’s a little peek at the vintage Valentine Deb created, inspired by her husband’s vintage postcard collection.  It’s a great card and a great post.  Check it out here.  Deb used all items from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store for her project.

As always, I wish to thank you from the bottom of my heart for stopping in.  My posts have been rather sparse of late, but there’s a lot going on so the time to create and blog is somewhat limited.  Thanks for still coming back!  I truly appreciate it!  Wishing you a wonderful week ahead — our temps promise to warm up a bit each day, so this is good!!!  We are in the depths of winter here, with the promise of spring soon to come!  OH, what a welcomed thought!

Sharon, I know they tell me there is no such thing as a dumb question, but here goes…
Your cards are so beautiful with the big ribbons and flowers, but how do you mail them? Or do you mail them? I love your blog–it was the first one I found and I follow it as often as I can. You do a great job and I know with your father being ill, it must be hard to keep thing going, just remember to Let go, Let God! and things will be better…I still include you in my prayers.
