Happy Mother’s Day
A simply made Mother’s Day card with a lavish presentation. Take a look:
The card is on the right and the box to present it in is on the left.
This is a standard A2 sized top fold card — my favorite orientation and style.
Paper is 12 x 12 Annalee by Prima.
Ribbon is by May Arts – 100% 1.25″ Silk and Olive String Leaves.
Die Cut is by Spellbinders – Fancy Tags Three.
Roses are by Prima – Trellis Roses and Fairytale Roses, in Ivory and French White.
Rhinestones are by Kaisercraft – Champagne.

Sentiment is from JustRite’s Happy Everything Tag Making Kit – a complete set that includes 18 sentiments, acrylic stamper and dies. A new FAV of mine! Very versatile and fun.
Ink is VersaFine Onyx Black for crisp, clear sentiments.
This is the altered box which is a perfect fit for my card.
I used an A2 Clear Box, adhered the designer paper to the box front with Scor-Tape, then just decorated away.
All bows are made on the Bow Easy. For the bow on the card I used the largest legs on the original Bow Easy. For the bow on the box I used the smallest legs on the Bigger Bow Easy.

The glass-like spray of beads is by Prima — Candy Gems in Melon. They were adhered to the box top with a good dose of Aleene’s Clear Gel Tacky Glue (from Wal-Mart or craft stores).
All other items used on the box are the same as used on the card, listed above.

Hi, everyone! It feels like I’ve been absent from blogland forever again — so sorry!!!
It’s SO GOOD to be back!!!
My Dad encountered another series of events which landed him in the hospital for several weeks, but he is once again home, and we are so very thankful for that. For those of you who have been keeping up with his health issues, this time his pacer pocket became infected — the pocket in his chest where the pacemaker unit was inserted. To summarize, the unit had to be removed, 5 wires through a vein into his heart had to be lasered out, a temp external unit was hooked up to him for a couple days, then a new permanent unit was inserted in the other side of his chest. These were all difficult situations for the doctors to perform, but God was with them and all went very well. We are so thankful. The expected kidney issues arose but he did not have to go back on dialysis — another HUGE blessing. And another major stumbling block is that he can no longer tolerate oral antibiotics and some problems resulted in that regard again as well. He is home now, recovering with home nursing and PT, trying to regain strength. The open wound in his chest from the infected pocket is very large. In a couple days he is being hooked up to a type of vacuum to aid in healing the open wound. We are praying that goes well. The doctors have high praises for this vacuum type thing so that’ll be another new experience.
If you’d keep both my Dad and Mom in your prayers, I would so appreciate it. My Mom and Dad are both almost 80 and these last few years have been a long and hard journey for them both. Thank you so much!

Even though I’ve been gone a lot and in and out, the store has remained open and functioning well. Many thanks to those of you who may have had to wait a couple extra days to get your packages mailed. I do appreciate your kindness and understanding. Things are back to normal now, with most packages shipping out within 24 hours or so.

So excited to see you’re back. I’ve been poking around to see if there’s been any action that I missed out on but now it makes sense that you’ve just been busy with life. That happens. Know that you are missed and I’m looking forward to future inspiration. I’ll be praying for your parents too.
Absolutely stunning card / box Sharon. I don’t normally “CASE”, but I think I’ll make an exception on this one as I’ve been hoarding those flowers and that vine.
We are so thankful that your dad is a fighter. God has certainly blessed him with a wonderfully supportive family!

It is such a small world, the vaccum system for the wound care is something that my sister did studies on! She was involved with the testing labs with nurses and drs in its use and practicality,suggesting improvements and problems that they could forsee with its use. All the things that were needed to problem solve before production and release so that it was easier to use etc. She said that it was going to speed up healing time and that they were excited about it!
I will have to tell her! Please keep us posted and I will keep you on my prayer list.
I lost my Dad 3 years ago,and what i would give to have had more time! Cherish every moment,which I know you are.

Wishing this was one of your kits but I will pull it all together. You were missed – even the Gingerwood Bulletin Board mentioned your lack of postings. Hope your time away was somewhat refreshing considering all you’re experiencing now.
Your card is beautiful! Thanks for sharing! And I would be happy to keep your parents in my prayers, and what an ordeal your dad has been thru, which had been an ordeal for all of you. I know exactly what that all is like, believe me. They are lucky to have such a loving and caring daughter, which is such a blessing all of the time but especially during times like this. Don’t forget to stop and take a breath to two and take care of yourself, too, because you are important, too. My dad will be 84 in July (we lost Mom a little over a year ago), but I find no matter what, they are your parents, and you always want them in your life. Its so hard to watch them age, but may God bless you all and keep you on the road to recovery.

Can I just say what a relief to search out somebody who really is aware of what theyre speaking about on the internet. You undoubtedly know how to deliver a difficulty to light and make it crucial.
