Webster’s Pages Spring Market

Opening a pack of  Webster’s Pages paper always sets my heart a-swooning — I adore their style, lovely prints and patterns, beautifully coordinated colors — but even more than that, what jumps out at me when I view their beautiful 6×6 sheets is the fact that a pretty little card will nearly make itself with minimal effort on my part — YES, I AM a lazy stamper — there are no two ways about that — as much as I love the process of creating, I always prefer things quick, easy and simple.  For as long as I have stamped, that over-riding theme is still at the forefront of my  creations.  And it can’t get any more quick, easy or simple than this:

I do like the simplicity of this card!  The fruit/floral strip was cut from a sheet in the Spring Market Pad.  You get 3 such strips from one sheet.  There are 2 of these sheets in the pad, so if one were so inclined, you could produce 6 similar cards in very short order.  Enough for 2 small gift sets of 3 each.

This card is a bit larger at 4.5 x 6″.  I like this size when working with 6×6″ sheets as I can make use of the entire width of the sheet, not having to cut off any of the pattern.  Wal-mart has envelopes to fit this size, called Invitation Envelopes.  But, as always, I like to encase my cards in Clear Boxes for complete protection.  This size card/envelope fit perfectly in the A-6 Size Clear Box.

See that cute polka dot button? FUN!!!  It’s an adhesive chipboard button from Webster’s  Buttons and Twine Spring Market Card, containing 16 adhesive chipboard buttons and 6 strands of twine in coordinating colors.  I ran my Ivory 100% Silk Ribbon through the button holes and tied my bow.  I will say, the ribbon made a tiny lump in the back, just big enough so the button would not lay perfectly flat on my card, so I had to add a few drops of glue to the back of the button to insure that it stayed put.

Here’s a look at the Spring Market 6×6 Pad and Buttons & Twine Card.  Not all sheets are shown, but it gives you some idea.
