Kaisercraft’s Lullaby Shabby Baby Boy

Published by at 2 11 am under Baby Cards,Bow Easy,Clean and Simple,Kaiser

Today I made a baby boy card for The Shabby Tea Room Challenge using some totally lush baby paper.  Take a look:

This card is a standard A2 size, 5.5 x 4.25″.  This is yet another no stamp creation — quick, easy and FUN to do!

I adore the sheets in this pad — Lullaby Collection by Kaisercraft.  It is filled with blues and pinks with some more grown-up, non-traditional baby prints.  This sheet with a Damask pattern is flocked.  As with all of the Kaisercraft small pads, there are punch outs in the back, but I cut out today’s focal image from a sheet filled with similar images — one sheet in blue and one in pink.  Kaisercraft Rhinestones in Ice Blue were added to the focal image corners for a bit of glitz

Ribbons used are all included in the Stamp Simply Ribbon Sampler – The Blues of Summer.  They are also available individually as well.   I used 1.5″ Satin Pleats in White, 3/8″ Grosgrain Stripes in Light Blue/White, and 1″ Stitched Satin in Light Blue.  Scor-tape was used to adhere the ribbon.  The Bow Easy was used to make the bow.

Here’s a look at The Blues of Summer Stamp  Simply Ribbon Sampler.

As this card has a fair amount of dimension, I will store it and present/mail it in an A2 Clear Box.

All items used on today’s project are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Thanks for checking in today — MUCH appreciated!!!  We had a busy weekend with warmer temps (at last!) and some rainfall as well.  I purchased a good portion of my summer plants for the porch and my few small beds — so now I have to watch the weather each night to check for frost warnings!!!  Oh, let’s hope it doesn’t freeze yet, but it likely will!!!

Have a good week everyone!  See you real soon!!!

A ‘just have to make’ card. I love baby cards, but when you combine elegant and baby together, well… Can you please tell me something – how did you pleat the 1″ ribbon and get it to stay on the card? I love this look but haven’t been able to execute it. You have the best ribbons – I’m going to have to place an order; you’ve given me so many ideas.

    Hi Sharon,
I just found you today and am so excited because I am not big on stamping either. In my case it is because my hands are to weak to get a good firm image. I don’t care for the faded ink look which I almost always get with stamps even if I have someone else do it. I am so delighted to see that one can use all the wonderful techniques of the stamping world but no stamp and still get a fabulous card. Actually I knew it all along because I have come up with what I think are some great cards but I needed someone else to validate this 🙂 i will be looking for your stuff in the future and smiling broadly.
Have a wonderful no stamp day!
