A Masculine Card Kit for Father’s Day

This morning I made 8 masculine cards in short order — and I REALLY like them — LOL!!!!  NO stamps or ribbon (oh my gosh!) but some chipboard, rub-ons, and a few pearls/rhinestones for a touch of glitz!  Here’s the set of 8:

I used the Timepiece Card Kit by Bo Bunny.  It comes with 8 pre-folded cards in 4 sizes, envelopes to fit, chipboard, punch-outs, rub-ons and complete instructions for 8 cards.  I basically followed the instuctions to come up with these cards, but I did make some changes along the way — I also used the 6×6″ Timepiece paper pad to create some mats and a background on one card.  I also added Kaisercraft Rhinestones (bronze) and Pearls (black) for a bit of glitz and that really seemed to finish them off nicely.

I’ll show you each card and won’t talk much as they are pretty self-explanatory — all items are directly from the KIT except as noted above.

I made this for a Father’s Day Card.  There are a TON of rub-ons in the KIT, but I think I only used 3 or 4, leaving the other cards blank so they are suitable for whatever purpose arises.

Love that flourish chipboard.  And that is NOT ribbon — it’s a paper punch-out — good fake!!!

I sanded the edges of the red to expose the white.

Three chipboard pieces on this card — GREAT chipboard!

Gotta love that great big tie!

The clock/heart is chipboard, the sentiment/keyhole is a rub-on.

Don’t those stitches look real?  Not so — printed on the paper.

I saved this one for last as I have a confession to make — you won’t find this in the instruction sheet.  See how the focal image is a little card that opens?  Well, that WAS a full sized 4.5″ square card — UNTIL I accidently cut it at the paper cutter, thinking it was a sheet of paper instead — so there went that card — but I salvaged it by adhering it to a base and called it good enough!  LOL!!!  Where there’s a will, there’s a way!!!

Just a quick visual of the Bo Bunny Timepice Product that can all be seen here.

The Timepiece Card Kit with instruction sheet on the right rear, the Timepiece 6×6″ pad, and two coordinated embellishment packs by Bo Bunny –  Trinkets and Wraps — fun add-ons!!!

Hope this inspires you to make some FUN maculine themed cards — guy cards don’t have to be boring!!!   Though I will be the first to admit, it IS more fun to make girly, flowery cards — LOL!!!

The feminine counterpart to Bo Bunny’s Timepiece Collection for the guys is Bo Bunny’s Garbrielle Collection for the girls.  You can see the full line of Gabrielle products in stock here.  I also used Gabrielle for my last post.

All items used are linked above and are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
