Hello world!  Although I’ve never left my home, I’ve been gone for 3 long days.  I lost internet service for 3 full days due to severe lightening storms on Friday and I do FEEL like I’ve been gone forever — SO disconnected — LOL!!!   Truly, a relatively minor problem in the whole scheme of things, and now that I’m back, let’s move on —

I finally got a chance to play with the beautiful Butterfly Garden Collection of papers and embellishments by Pink Paislee – and what a treat it was! I’ve put some of these items together in a KIT complete with ribbon selections as well for your crafting ease. Here’s the card I made this weekend along with a bookmark that was an unplanned bonus:

Gorgeous papers from the Butterfly Garden 6×6 pad. I chose a couple sheets and reverted to my favorite go-to layout.   The bookmark was an unplanned bonus as when the leftovers fell from my paper cutter when I cut the card sheets, I just *saw* the bookmark, so ran with it.

A closer look at the card front.  I used the Butterfly Garden Stamp Set and Vintage Sepia Ink by VersaFine.  This card is sized to perfectly fit inside an A6 Clear Box.  It is 6.5″ x 4.75″.  The Clear Boxes protect my cards until I need them and then make a great presentation upon delivery, whether in hand or by mail.

The bookmark is 1.5″ x 6.5″, made with the leftover piece cut from the card front.  A hole is punched on top and 1/4″ Silk Ribbon is run through the hole.  No embellishments — nice and flat for use in a book.  I like the long, sleek look!

This is a Clear Pop Dimensional Butterfly that coordinates with items in the Butterfly Garden Collection.  The largest butterfly you see is printed on the paper.  I chose to layer a smaller butterfly from the Clear Pops package on top of the larger butterfly.  It’s really quite pretty  in real life.  The top layer of the butterfly is clear with glitter — hard to capture in the photo.  This pack of Clear Pop Butterflies is not a part of the KIT I put together, but is sold separately as an optional add-on.

My bow was made with 1.25″ Silk Ribbon (Champagne), using the Bow Easy for an always perfect bow.  The button in the center is from Baubles and Buttons package of adhesive buttons and winged clear gems.  Again, the Baubles and Buttons package is not a part of the KIT I put together, but is sold separately as an optional add-on.  I ran 1/4″ Silk Ribbon ( Champagne) through the button holes.

I used a sheet on the inside that corresponds with the sheet on the card front, all from the Butterfly Garden 6×6 pad.
