Baby Shower Card

Published by at 10 45 am under Baby Cards,Bow Easy,Kaiser

Girl or boy — pink or blue?  No one knows (now isn’t that nice for a change!), so rather than going with the gender neutral greens or yellows, I chose to do a card that is both pink and blue.  Here it is:

The paper I used is a  yummy baby pad with GORGEOUS prints –  6.5 x 6.5″ Lullaby Collection by Kaisercraft.  As with all Kaisercraft pads, it has many pages of punchouts, but my BABY focal image was cut from a sheet in the pad (tons of pretty squares to cut out in this pad).  It also includes gorgeous damask flocked sheets and some others that are foiled and spot varnished.  Pretty paper!

This is a quick layout for a card in a rush — all straight cuts at the paper cutter.  I seem to be doing that a lot lately.

Here’s a closer look at the ribbon detail.  Ribbons used are 1″ Stitched Satin (blue), Kaisercraft Lace Card (white), 1/2″ Wrinkled Ribbon (white) and a button from my jar.  The larger blue bow was made on the Bow Easy.  The ribbon for the small white bow is run through the button holes and hand tied.

The card is my FAV new size- 6.5 x 4.75″ inches, made to fit perfectly inside the A6 Clear Box I will present it in — here it is, all set to be put into the gift bag with the gifts.

All items used are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, linked above.

I have reason to believe the last post I did (Gathered Lace Happy Birthday) did not go out on Feedblitz — so if you are a Feedblitz subscriber and missed it, you can see it here.

Now I’m off to that baby shower today.  It’s been a LONG time since I’ve attended a baby shower so it’ll be fun to see all the cute little baby things!!!

Thank you SO much for stopping in and I wish you all a wonderful weekend!
