Melissa Frances 5th Avenue/Just for You

I had fun this afternoon. I pulled out my collection of 5th Avenue by Melissa Frances and just embellished away!

This is a standard A2 sized card.  As always, as soon as I was done I slipped it into an A2 Clear Box for total protection and for presentation purposes when giving.  No more wrinkled, bent or damaged cards in my house!

Melissa Frances products used on this card are:

5th Avenue 6×6 Pad, 5th Avenue Tag CollectionLace Trim in Cream, Pearls in Cream, 5th Avenue Rhinestones Assorted, Resin Edwardian Frames

Other products used on this card are:

May  Arts 100% Silk Ribbon – 1.25″ in Pink and 1/4″ in Ivory

Prima Fairytale Roses in Orchid

Scor-Tape

3D Adhesive Squares

I wanted a tiny multi-purpose sentiment on this card so I opted to use the Just.for.You from JustRite’s Just Because Mini Sentiment Set. I’m really loving these tiny sentiments!  You can use these sentiments with the stampers included in the original Mini Sentiment Set called Happy Everything Tag Making Kit (an all inclusive kit containing sentiments, stampers and dies), or you can purchase a Clear Mini Sentiment Stamper individually (this stamper being smaller than those in the Kit mentioned).  Either works.

And I did the card inside as well, keeping it simple so there’s room to write.  I used an older Martha Stewart border punch on the inside and an older Martha Stewart butterfly punch on the card front.

All items used are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked above.

Many thanks for stopping in today.  Hope your week is off to a good start! It’s a beautiful day here and I have a full week ahead with much on the agenda — I’ve got help coming to help me with windows and cabinets (yes, SPRING cleaning), I have a group of stamping friends coming another day to do a couple projects, and we need to shop this week for a new frig and a queen sized bed.  The issue with the bed is whether or not they can get it up our stairs to the bedrooms – ours is a 110 year old house, which presents some challenges from time to time!   I’m really anxious to order all the new bedding, but don’t dare until we see if the bed makes it upstairs!!!  Keep your fingers crossed to me!!!  And that’s my week ahead in a nutshell — hope you have some fun and productive things planned as well — see you soon!

  1. Beautiful card Sharon – embellised to perfection!

Good luck with getting just the right bed for your home! New beds are so nice and you wonder why you put up with the old one for so long (we just bought a new bed this year).

Smart woman! I had to get a hide-a-bed up some stairs with a bend in them and it was pretty touch and go there for a while. If I recall, the wall paper in the place paid the price for us being able to get it up to the room. Best of luck!! Gorgeous papers and card 🙂

Sharon, this card is gorgeous in every way and I LOVE the way you complete the inside of your cards! Great thinking. For the bed; sometime they have to remove a window on the second floor and then they stand on the truck and lift the furniture through. I’m keepin my fingers crossed for you. It sounds like you are going to have a great week, I wish I were there, and enjoy every moment!
