Party Invitation, Favor and a Winner!!!

Today I have a very easy to create party invitation and table favor to share with you, but first let’s announce the winner from our Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style  Hop of last Saturday. This is a regular Saturday Hop, each Saturday, so if you like ribbon and a chance at winning some ribbon goodies, remember to tune in each Saturday!  The winner from last Saturday’s Hop was chosen from Michelle Woerner’s Blog, (check out her GORGEOUS card) and our winner is:

Sally Barker

Huge congrats! to you Sally!!!  Please email me at [email protected] with your mailing address so your winning Ribbon Sampler — The Suedes of Summer — can be mailed off to you.  Thank YOU so much for playing and thanks to ALL who played and hopped along with us.  We LOVE your participation and hearing from you!!!  Many thanks to all!

Now, on to my project.  As many of you know, we had a wedding in our family this summer.  With the wedding being a good 750 miles from our home, the vast majority of our friends were unable to attend.  So Steve and Marissa flew up on Labor Day Weekend and we had a Sunday afternoon reception for them at a local hotel so all of our friends could attend.  It was a very nice afternoon and I hope to share some photos at a later time — I still have more of the actual wedding photos to get to first!

I made a VERY simple invitation to send to our friends and some very quick and easy table favors.  That was it!  The hotel did the rest — beautiful napkins, gorgeous floral centerpieces, etc.  It was SOOOO lovely.

The invitation is 1/2 sheet size.  The paper is SU Pink Pirouette and Whisper White.  The entire invitation is computer generated and the Whisper White ran through my printer with no difficulties.  Even the central swirly/flourish was computer generated.

I just added a Kaisercraft Rhinestone in Light Pink — that’s the extent of my “craftiness” on this invitation — LOL!!!

I filled my Crystal Clear Pillow Boxes with these YUMMY white candies — called Wedding Mints or Mighty Mints.  I ordered them online and was very pleased with the service and the candies.  They were from  ACandyStore.comMy only concern was how much did I need to purchase?  Well, on the chance you’d like to fill these exact boxes with this exact candy — I’ll tell you — it took 12 pounds of candy to fill 100 boxes about 7/8 full each.  I ordered 15 pounds so we have a few pounds left — NOT a problem — LOL!!!  They really are wonderful little mints!

The ribbon used had a bit of sparkle to it — just perfect for the occasion.  It is May Arts 1/2″ Sheer with Satin Band in Pink.

I applied a purchased sticker to the back of the box over the ribbon, just to hold it in place when the bow is opened to get at those candies.  These stickers were by Wilton and in the bridal section at Wal-Mart, very inexpensive, and the color was perfect as the wedding colors were pink, silver, black and white!

And that about does it for today!

Now, wouldn’t this simple invitation and table favor work perfectly for any  number of occasions, just done up with the appropriate colors and ribbons?  I think so!!!  Birthdays, Valentine’s Day,  Halloween — just about anything!

The Crystal Clear Pillow Boxes, Rhinestones and Ribbon are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked above.

Check out the What’s New link for new products being added daily.  New Spellbinders have just been added, among many other things!
