My Mind’s Eye Mischievous Halloween Tag (and a Winner!)

Today I have a fun little Halloween Tag out of some new paper I just got, but first let’s announce the winner from last Saturday’s Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style post.  We were using Metallics this past week and random.org chose Deb Saaranen’s blog from which to pick the winner.  AND, using random.org the winner chosen from Deb’s blog is:

Sylvia/Little Treasures

Congrats! Sylvia!!!  Please contact me with your mailing address to claim your metallic ribbon package.  Email me at [email protected]You can see Sylvia’s prize metallic package here.

Now on to my little Halloween Tag.  I have never really sent out much in the line of Halloween cards, but when the kids were little I made TONS of treat bag toppers for school parties, and with one son having a late October birthday those parties were often Halloween themed as well.  So today I made a tag that will either be stuck into a little candy basket gift or perhaps tied onto a brown paper handled bag filled with Halloween candy.  Not sure what I’m doing yet, but whatever it is, I’ve got one down with a few more to go!

I fell in LOVE with this Halloween pad by My Mind’s Eye called Mischievous — darling vintage patterns with some fun halloween images thrown in.  Isn’t she CUTE?

The white space was left so I can write the To and From when I give this.

There was no rhyme or reason to my tag, I just started cutting paper pieces I wanted, then cut a tag to fit them out of black cardstock.  The finished tag is about 2.75″ x 6.5″.  As with most of what I do, this was quick and easy with the interest coming from the paper pieces chosen.

I added a lot of Kaisercraft Rhinestones in black and orange to glitz it up a bit (their eyes, her belt, shoes and hat).

The sentiment is from the Happy Everything Tag Making Kit (a full kit complete with 18 Mini Sentiments, 4 dies by Spellbinders and a Clear Rectangle Stamper, and it’s reduced right now!).

Another GREAT Halloween sentiment set is Halloween Mini Sentiments.  You can use this with the stampers provided in the set above, OR you can use the Clear Mini Sentiment Stamper.

Scor-tape, VersaFine Onyx Black Ink

All sentiment sets by JustRite can be seen heremany are reduced.

All Halloween items can be seen hereNote the Halloween Baker’s Twine at that link — FUN!!!

Here’s a look at how I did the ribbon – 1.5″ Grosgrain Stripes in black/ivory and Burlap String in black.  I punched 2 littles holes in the top of the tag (I used an older SU punch), just folded my striped ribbon and placed it over the holes, then sewed it in place with the burlap string, tying into a bow when done.  Just something different and it was quick.  I liked it.

All items used are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked above.

The My Mind’s Eye products are all so lovely.  I have many in stock now with more coming in the very near future!
