The 12 Days of a Clean and Simple Christmas – Stamp Simply Style – Day Five

It’s Day 5  already!  Welcome to another chapter in The 12 Days of a Clean and Simple Christmas – Stampy Simply Style!

Today I did a Christmas card in three versions — shall we say SUPER CAS, CAS and then just a tad bit more than CAS (but not too much so!)  Here’s the first version:

These beautiful papers are from Webster’s Pages and when I use their papers I never want to cover them up — they are SO gorgeous in a style I’m so drawn to.  S0 that’s just what this card is — a beautiful sheet of paper standing on its own, accented with Mirror Cardstock in gold — nothing more.  On the far right it says *A Beautiful Holiday*, and that’s printed on the paper.  This card is totally flat for easy mailing.

The Webster’s Pad is a 6×6 Botanical Christmas &  Winter Fairy Tales.

All coordinates to the above 6×6 pad can be seen here (Botanical) and here (Fairy Tales).

All product by Webster’s Pages in stock can be seen here.

Here I’ve taken the card one step forward by adding the ribbon. This ribbon is super soft and light weight, so the card still remains flat for mailing.

The ribbon used  is 1/2″ Wrinkled Ribbon in a color called Moss.  I’d like to point out that in my opinion Moss should be more green.  This ribbon is most defintely more on the gold side.  There may be some green undertones, but I basically consider it in the gold family for my projects — just so you know! The color goes very well with a lot of the Christmas papers available.

And here’s the third and final version which is a bit more stepped up, but still a very easy project to create. With the addition of the Fairytale Roses, this card no longer fits in the easy to mail category.  I store and present cards with this amount of dimension in a Clear Box — this standard 4.25 x 5.5″ card needs an A2 Clear Box.

In addition to the Fairytale Roses (French White and Coral) I also used Primas Velvet Leaves.  The color and texure were both just perfect for this card.

I used a Quickie Glue Pen to apply glitter to the roses, the butterfly wings and the brown acorn, very pretty in real life but hard to see in photo.

I’m excited to show you the card inside because it’s a stamp from a line I’ve just brought into The Stamp Simply Ribbon StoreStampavie.  Their images are JUST darling and I think you’ll like them!

This sentiment stamp is from a Stampavie set called Merry  Christmas by Tina Wenke. (Sorry, it has sold out already, but there are other Stampavie sentiment sets very similar).  I stamped it in Versa Mark and embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder.  That carried the shiny glitz from the card front right into the inside.   This sentiment will be great for a card front, too — which is how I will likely use it next.

All items used to make this card are available at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, as linked above.

Note: I just checked Deb’s project — it’s GORGEOUS — and we both used the same paper pad today — too funny!
